They will release Twilight Princess in the next days and I think the need to promote this first, they would steal it's thunder with Zelda wiiu. Maybe your right with that and they'll have a special Direct for Zelda Wiiu.
Why would they give the release date of Zelda Wiiu at that direct? It's clearly an E3-game.
They say it's about games for Wiiu and 3DS which release this summer. I think there will be nothing more and nothing less.
@BigDuo: Why would they put much higher tech in the hardware. PC has much higher tech in it but today's consoles are holding it back, no 3rd party developer is doing that much extras for PC (in terms of multi-plat games). It's absolutely enough for NX to be on pair with the other two (or MAYBE a bit higher), 3rd partys wouldn't put extra graphics or something in the games on NX, that they look like completely other games.
Miitomo is not necessarily meant for just "gamers" it's also meant for people who don't play games on their smartphones but use it often for texting and social interacting. I think Nintendo wants to bring more people in contact with it's brand, that's why this app is categorized in the area of facebook, twitter, instagram and snapchat.
N64 had Doom, Resident Evil, Turok, Goldeneye, Perfect Dark, Mortal Combat, Rogue squadron, ... . So whats your point.
Edit: Still all those games I mentioned released on N64 and only two of them were on PS before. Turok had good visuals compaired to Doom on PS, especialy Turok 2 and 3. Also Doom on 64 is today considered as the best version of it, that's why they started to mod the game for PC last year.

@ED: I have to admit it wasn't well worded what I meant. What I wanted to say is that it won't be enogh for the NX to be an console that clones PS or Xbox in terms of 3rd party support (which is mandatory at this point) and graphics. Non-Nintendo fans will not buy the NX if they already own a PS or Xbox or both just because of Nintendo games. If there was this intreset in Nintendo games from those people more Wiiu consoles (as secondary console) would otherwise have been sold.

Of cause they're not. But people that come to those articles and make such negative and deconstructive comments (although the most likely know better) don't make the impression that they like that company.
You could have writen what you wrote above in the first place but instead you went with something about Nintendo being terrible partner.
Also there is no eternal rule in buisness that says that there can't be company relations anymore.
To all Nintendo haters: There is always the possibilty that EA and Nintendo partner up again. That also counts for every 3rd party developer. There are many 3rd party developers that are satisfied with the relation to Nintendo. Stop being so short sighted.

But as usual it's a big company that can't change in a blink of an eye and every action has to be thought carefully at this point. People have to be patient. Also you personally should not get your hopes high, because NX surely won't be what you want. Just drop your interest, because nobody can get through an other console...

I'm not conviced that they release it this year because there is still much of work to be done for their current systems and for NX developement/ PR and especialy for improving relations with 3rd party developers. Of course there is still the possebility for a release in 2016.
Point is only because people do not see the reasons behind their action it doesn't mean that there aren't any. Besides we know nothing about the NX so it's hard to say at what point of development they are, so maybe there isn't much to say or show because they still try things out. But I have to admit that it is important that they have enough games at release.
