It's got fun moments. You can pick apart the overall game though. But honestly, I was starved for a game for my dust collecting ps4.

Yeh man such a good game ...and I don't mean the gameplay aspect, I mean the story, the characters, the humor ...thats what makes this game shine even over next gen games, if only all games could be like this.

Yeh I don't think your wrong or this guy is, but I'd give a 6 to something that's broken. Destiny may seem repetitive but it's polished as hell. And probably a sensational review to garner traffic.

I agree it's over hyped, but watch dogs crashed for different reasons. Having played the beta, I can say with confidence that despite the hype it looks and plays well. The hype remains to be lived up to.
At the end of the day it's a business, but it's a pity devs don't see the short sightedness of placing emphasis on sales over reputation. A good game sells it self, to me even more so than a crappy game with tons if dlc. Look at GTA V or TLOU ...hell look at Destiny, it's not even out yet but the solid beta made for record breaking pre order numbers. The truth is we're ALL treated like lowest common denominator with the assumption that gamers atent capable of recognizing ...
I've seen ign review of a period of time, I'm assuming that's how they'll do destiny. But let's be real this game is gonna receive high praise.
So true ...if I want something I'm buying it. Battlefield 4 is a perfect example ...turned out to be disappointing, but I preordered because I love the franchise.

To me this game is very basic. Go-here-shoot this. Fun, but basic.
I feel the same, the only game I've seen recently that stands out is The Phantom Pain. But the big AAA are like big budget movies, all flare and no substance. I'd love if devs treated us like we're intelligent and give us great games that challenge us.

Got damn ...I forgot how jaw dripping Infamous is. Yeh this was one of the best looking games I played on my ps4. First party though, if only everyone could produce this quality.
Yeh I think you cant quantify game reviews unless there's a universal ranking criteria. That said, you're right a 5 = don't buy. Destiny is far from that, isn't amazing but is definitely not a "don't buy" game.
