LOL I know right, I mean Tomb Raider and PREY were able to fix the input lag issues by introducing frame pacing issues and screen tearing, and I mean who really needs a consistent frame rate in a fighting game??
You're all maniacs on this site.
You're right, the difference is that the first Walking Dead game was at least somewhat entertaining and very rarely removed your ability to run through long non-interactive stretches just to artificially lengthen the game. The Order looked great and had some fairly solid combat but it was an absolute chore to play through. You can let this one go lads, the PS4 has plenty of good games at this point -- you don't need to pretend anymore.
Really need to fix the fact that link can instantly heal from eating. That's what I was expecting from hard mode.
If the game can be beaten in 2 hours, but it's a killer 2 hours, then I think most will just keep the game to replay in the future. If the game can be beaten in 2 hours and it's absolutely dreadful like, I dunno, Amnesia: A Machine for Pigs let's say -- then it's awesome that customers can get their money back.
I never thought for a second that a game like Nier would sell 1 million, don't think Square Enix did either. Could see this coming after the success of P4 on the PSvita, but still -- a weird, turn-based JRPG with sim elements sitting at the number one spot in the charts in 2017 makes me happy.
So not only are we getting loads of interesting, single player focused games, but they're actually doing really well too? Almost too good to be true.
I wouldn't go that far, but I get where you're coming from. It really struggles to maintain 30fps and that's with constant screen tearing. Really horrible performance on console but the game was so damn good that I could overlook it.
guyman
See this is the problem with this goddamn site. He is right, you are wrong The PS3 version of Bayonetta is by far the worst version. It never even comes close to reaching 60fps on PS3, and the input lag meant that the higher difficulties were basically impossible. You're not helping anyone by saying there's nothing wrong with it.
I'd love to see Bayonetta come to PS4 because it's a great game and deserves to reach a bigger audience...
They've released far better games than Assassin's Creed 2 in the last ten years. Far Cry 3 and Rayman Legends are two of the best games they've ever put out. Everyone is just sick of this open world Ubisoft formula where the map is littered with icons and boring side activities.
Got this on Steam and it's surprisingly good. One of the better 2D Souls-like games.
Apart from the Diablo games, I'd say those scores are all fair, especially by today's standards. You left off the only Edge review I have a serious problem with: 7/10 for God of War 2...... Insanity!
To be fair, the only reason I bought Persona 4 on PS2 was the 9/10 Edge sticker that was plastered on the box. They were championing this series for a long time.
Oh my god. This is one of the best multiplayer games I've ever played, but for some reason it never seemed to reach its full potential on Steam. Kinda hope they make it a PS Plus game at first because it genuinely deserves to be as popular as something like Rocket League.
Not a Double Fine game. It's an old Lucasarts point n click and it's brilliant.
Spot on. I don't think we'll be looking back at BOTW in fifteen years thinking "Wow, now that was a videogame". If they keep the basic template but fix some of the issues like repeated content and lack of old school dungeons for the next Zelda, then that game will be a beast.
That said, I'm having a lot of fun with BOTW right now, the fact that they made the world fun to explore and engage with without resorting to dishing out experience points for eve...
Right.......
So this seven for Zelda then, is that a serious seven or not?
You see the problem.
I dunno man, 92 on metacritic is quite high, and it's widely considered to be the best game on PS4.
Played Bloodborne? Not exactly silky smooth.
Eh Bioshock Infinite and Deadly Premonition getting tens always rubbed me the wrong way.
Yeah certainly seems that way when every comment here that is saying anything remotely negative about the Playstation is bombarded with "downvotes" despite being truthful for the most part. Speaking as someone who is not absolutely insane, the sheer number of games on PS4 with input lag issues is ridiculous, and the few attempts to fix these problems have resulted in graphical issues like improper frame pacing and screen tearing, it's just not acceptable, especially for those wh...
