it depends on competition quality, steambox, tablet and mobile gaming, dont Forget ps4 and xbox are locked hardware for 5/10 years lifecicle depending on sales. PC gaming is becoming more and more afordable and with console aproach pc is benefiting more than consoles. i strongly believe who innovates the most will succeed, traditional gaming will suffer from competition and market share loss.

the slight power edge ps4 might have wont be more then a step up on antialiasing filters, i mean if a game has 2x AA on xbox perhaps ps4 will be capable of 4x, just like this gen , NO AA on ps3 and 2x on xbox 360 on most multi plat titles til sony devs released their cpu/spu based AA released with uncharted 2 and shared with other devs so ps3 games could look a bit like.......actually.....games

steam is and always will e against proprietary technologies that tightens market share. if they go nvidia or amd only, subsiding closed technology they may loose the other part. to build a strong pc market they need open standards. i am with steam and if they can negotiate good prices for their boxes, lower than a full pc config. ill buy it. my pc is already on my living room, if i can make it smaller the better

You have your point. But If we look all console gens before, it was pc catching up because consoles had budgets on the billions. And mostly sell at a loss making up on royalties. Last gen broke everything, sony didnt make à dime and went cheappo. You get what you Pay. Msft hides behind kinect and other Nintendo phylosophy.

i agree with you, and by the way i believe all of those fanboys have skipped ps3, because i guess they only buy the easiest console to develop to, XBOX ONE never had any comments such as gabe newell did in regards ps3, remember? and not only him, most third party and still the disaster survived til today, i dont see xbox any worse than ps3, its basically the same as 360 with a pc cpu, the radical change was on sony side, demonstrating ps3 architecture a complete failure, dev wise.

im continuing with Xboxlive, as a natural evolution, i´ve been there since original one, when sony still dreamed of a network infrastructure, then we saw natural quality jump last gen to live version 2 against psn1 and later psn1.5,
now really cant wait to live version 3 and see what effectivelly does better against psn. after trying both xboxlive and psn theres absolutelly no way back to sonys network. just my 2 cents
