I'm bored of all First Person Shooters as well. I don't even like them anymore. Not even for multiplayer. They're all the same. No style.
I'm just speaking from my personal experience. I'm not a PC hater by any means, but if a game is done decently on console, I usually go for the console version, but if a game runs like crap on console with tons of screen tearing, I'll get the PC version (ehem... Dead Island)
Well, PCs mainly get console ports so if you're looking for something that's crazily better than consoles, you're sadly mistaken. I have a capable PC and a PS3. I have a few duplicate games for both. I have Max Payne 3, GTA IV, Just Cause 2, Portal 2, Need for Speed Hot Pursuit, Crysis 2 and Assassin's Creed 3 for both and let me tell you from experience that these games aren't much different on PC. Yes, they look a little bit cleaner, but they still look like console game...
Here's the thing.
PC graphics are WAY ahead of console graphics right? But, the PC still gets console-quality ports. So when are the PC games really pushing boundaries?
I think that if you gave developers a console machine with 2GB of RAM and a 550Ti, they could pull off some amazing things because they would be trying to squeeze every last bit of power out of it by optimizing and coding their games efficiently for it.
However, right now,...
How about this...
Games should never change. They should stay the same always. Afterall, that's why everyone loves Call of Duty... because it doesn't change! EVER!
Did anyone else think that the title meant Bethesda was giving away Skyrim Downguard for free on PC because they couldn't make it work on PS3?
Hitman looks the same on PS3 as that screenshot. Higher res textures aside, it doesn't look much different.
I never really understood why textures are so important to the PC crowd. I wanna see more advanced lighting, ray-tracing, better reflections, real-time shadows, moving clouds (Assassin's creed 3), better animations, better faces...... Textures and resolution do NOT make a game look like next-gen to me. It just makes it look like a cleaner image of a current gen...
Screen tearing kills me.
It runs great on all 3 systems. http://www.eurogamer.net/ar...
Steady framerate at 30fps
No screen tearing
Looks great
I'd go ahead and pick it up for PS3 if I were you. It's a pretty fun game. You play the missions however you want.
Just because it's maxed out, doesn't mean they're using it to it's fullest potential. Someone could max out the PS3 writing a Pong game if they wanted to.
I don't even think Sony were aware that the PS3 would be pushing graphics that look as good as Uncharted 3 when they first released the console. It really makes you think about how amazing the developers are with the limited hardware they have to work with.
The graphics on the PS3 keep g...
What I'm trying to say is... Assassin's Creed 3 is a much better looking game than Call of Duty Black Ops 2, so the person saying that Black Ops 2 is the best looking game on the Wii U is an idiot. Assassin's Creed 3 looks way better (I'm talking about the Wii U).
I have AC3 for PS3 and I can only imagine it looks even better on the Wii U with a more stable framerate. It already looks killer on the PS3.
Also, for the record, playing AC3 on the...
"This is the best looking one out right now, so what else do we have to go on?"
Have you seen Assassin's Creed 3? This is definitely not the best looking game for the Wii U.
Cool
Never played a Hitman game in my life. I'll probably like this one then.
Will do. Thanks!
Good thing I've never played a Hitman game. I'll be playing this with an open mind without nostalgia goggles.
I can't wait.
Games change. They can't keep it the same way forever.
Whoa! When did LA Noire feature multiplayer? I always thought it was a single player only game. Am I wrong?
I've always thought adventure games were like Tomb Raider, Uncharted, Assassin's Creed and Ratchet and Clank.... or perhaps those are more platformers than adventure.
Anyway, judging by the games in this article, I don't like adventure games very much. I like platforming.
I haven't heard of 90% of those games.
This game frustrates the hell out of me... way too hard. Maybe I'm just spoiled by the easier games out there, but I cannot even sneak around without getting caught constantly. It sucks.
I've been playing the hell out of Need for Speed Most Wanted though... now THAT'S a fun game.
