I used to love Call of Duty, but this game is boring.
I just see some screen tearing here and there. Advanced Warfare never tore.
I hope there's a performance patch for PS4 soon.
I've been playing on consoles for almost my whole life and I've played many 60fps and many 30fps games.
60fps games didn't give me any better of an experience than 30fps games. I enjoyed them both (or disliked them both depending on the game).
Not everyone is a PC snob. 30fps has always been fine for me. I don't really buy into the whole "every game needs 60fps or I won't buy" attitude.
30fps is perfectly playable.
30fps is fine on consoles. Playing with a controller at 30fps is much better than playing on a mouse at 30fps.
Consoles don't *need* 60fps to play well.
It's not even about the graphics for me. You get no real sense of how the game actually is when they do a cinematic CGI trailer.
Then when the game finally comes out, it seems pale in comparison because you were all hyped over the great trailer.
Remember the original Dead Island trailer? That was amazingly beautiful and emotional, yet the final game had absolutely NOTHING to do with the trailer. It was a huge let down!
The animus isn't perfect.
I played this last night and I can't really say I was too into it. I really love drive club but the bikes feel weird and boring.
I actually prefer the aiming style in uncharted 3 before they changed it. When they patched it, it was way too sensitive and I felt like I was waving my gun around like a retard.
Also, the patch introduced motion blur that was bugged on the ship levels.
It was my favorite game as well.
Do you think this will be playable without VR as well?
I'm really getting tired of the open world format. Yes, it's good for making a game last a long time and for replayability, but I don't always want to do things at my own pace. Sometimes I just want to have a really fun linear game that has me do everything at just the right pace.
I think Syndicate looks kinda blah, but I also played Unity a few days ago and it also looked kinda blah. I think I've been spoiled by some other prettier games lately and now Unity and Syndicate look lackluster now.
I changed my mind. Syndicate looks better due to the dynamic time of day and smaller crowds. I hated the large crowds in Unity, most people got in the way.
Also, the frame rate is really stable in Syndicate.
I just want a 30fps option!
Is it seriously always night time in this game? That's going to get old very fast. I wanna see the sun!
Why does it matter to you? It's what I want. Is it too hard to understand that some people have different preferences than you?
I still would have preferred a 30fps option.
Why should it? There's still plenty of power left in the current gen consoles.
