My Analysis on this situation,
Lost Legacy DLC expansion costed $9.99 prior to the game bloating into its own medium sized game, then becoming $39.99. The same precedent has happened here for this MP expansion/ now stand alone title it might be free or a fixed price for a certain time then goes up upon release.

I assume this is a counter statement to Sony forecasting to double their revenue by 2026 which would be roughly 50 billion+ since they have been averaging 24-26 billion past few years. That is just playstation, aniplex made 1 billion in revenue last year in gaming and with bungie making their own moves to become a publisher like riot and blizzard I don't see how anyone takes them away from their majority market share.
