Because that's actually what happens. :\
You mean instead of getting FREAKIN BATTLEFIELD 1943 on the PC! I've had a preorder on that for over half a year and it's still not here.
Double negative.
So your whole conclusion is based on...nothing. Awesome contribution.
Have to say I kinda agree with the article. Not that it's the most disappointing game of the year, but it let me down. I too read the novel and loved it. The battles were so epic, the combat and weapons felt so realistic, and the overwhelming odds stacked against the humans created a great atmosphere of tension and grim hope for the future. There wasn't really much of that in the game. Not much impending sense of doom, just another squad based shooter in a fairly open environment.
I don't know about anyone else, but I actually preferred the attachment. It meant I didn't have to buy another, possibly more expensive remote, when I could just upgrade it. I think people would have been more upset if Nintendo released this a few years ago.
I thought this was going to be another rant on video games corrupting our youth, not six words.
But when the franchise builds up a character through a multitude of games and then suddenly destroys everything they stand on, people are going to be pissed. And they have a right to be. Players never saw a sensitive side to Samus in the games, and saying there's a book somewhere that reveals the "real" side of her isn't going to change that. Samus has taken on a life of her own with the gamers based on what we see. So which is real? What the creator intended her to be, or w...
Consoles usually run in five-year lifespans, making it difficult to upgrade the hardware constantly without running into compatibility issues and defeating the convenience of a buying a console.
Nintendo had no reason to upgrade. There was no competition, and competition breeds innovation and improvement. Nintendo's situation is not comparable to, say, the cellphone market today, with companies constantly outdoing each other and upgraded phones being released every few m...
You seem to be suggesting that by being released earlier, the Wii hardware should somehow be more advanced four years later than newer technology.
I wonder if the jets flying at the end are just for show or hinting at new playable aircraft.
It says "Multiplayer Expansion Pack" at the end of the trailer.
Well, that certainly seems to be the way a lot of developers are thinking, and I don't see games getting significantly better from it. All it does is create a risky business model with higher production costs that cause developers to keep playing it safe with bland games. I don't think any gamer devoted to playing good games should support this view.
I've got so many games sitting around that I haven't completed yet. I usually stop around 80% completion. It seems like I'll buy a game, play it for the majority of my gaming time, whether it be a few days or weeks, and then take a break from it where afterward I just can't get back into it.
Take for example, the first Metroid Prime. I knew the Omega Pirate boss battle was approaching right around the next corner, so I decided to use it as a checkpoint and be...
The link isn't working for me now, but whenever the author said that the Skyward's Sword stage demo was glitchy and inaccurate because Miyamoto doesn't know how to play his own game, that's when I stopped reading. It's complete crap.
Nintendo always operates in silence and hardly announces anything; I'm surprised people are still surprised by this. There's no point in revealing anything AS SOON AS development begins; that just ruins the surprise later and could potentially mess up the information as the game changes down the road. I think it really paid off to make a shocking conference.
No excuse? They've only been making games nonstop for the past four years. You think these things take a m...
I was honestly surprised when the website said Sony had won. And Nintendo came in second because...not enough new IPs? Look at the other conferences and you'll find exactly the same situation. And...the Zelda demo was a bit sketchy...because of some uncontrollable and unforeseeable factor that doesn't impact how the game actually works at all? Yeah, it was, but that is no reason to think the controls are in reality horrible. Why the hell would anyone seriously contemplate that Nintend...
I thought people stopped with this crap three years ago.
A biased review if I ever saw one. Honestly, how many people play Mario Kart for the single player alone? Very little, for sure. He takes off FIVE points just for Grand Prix mode, and he wrote the review coming off a brutal 150cc match to boot. Sometimes I swing from loving to hating and back in games and sports, like for example golf, when you take a bad shot and curse the sport, but by the next hole you're back to enjoying yourself. Your judgement is not entirely fair during that downtime t...
Of course he says Nintendo is going to perform poorly if they don't release it; he's been predicting a Wii HD for around three years now.
