Took the words right out of my mouth. CDPR is just one of the best devs in the business. Can't say the same about Ubishit.
Sony or someone should purchase the Silent Hill IP since you know Konami isn't going to do the franchise justice. Get Kojima and Del Toro back on board and make this instant classic!
My bad for saying one group of fanboys can be worse than another. Worded wrong. I think fanboyism is a plague in gaming regardless the corporation supported.
Underground was basically an answer to Fast and Furious when that movie made the "underground" street racing with imports popular.
@Genuine-User Not trying to undermine what you said since most of it is true but realistically Sony fanboys are just as bad if not worse. Also, of course having games through out the year matters but just because PS4 may have had 2 big releases Q1 (Bloodborne and The Order) doesn't mean that Xbox One is now doomed. An exclusive Xbox One gamer won't really care that much. This generation is still in it's infancy so we will see many great games on all fronts in the next few years.
Who cares if it sells more or not. I just want new great games.
@pivotplease I know it's 10 years for the franchise. I was saying Destiny as a whole (sequels and what not) is Bungie's successor to Halo. Believe me, I know the entire process of Destiny from the beginning of development until release date which is when I stopped caring.
The Witcher 2's environments still look great to this day. Flotsam and the forest outside of it look so good. The attention to detail is insane in all The Witcher games and I commend CDPR for that.
I think it all depends on the genre the game is. I mean if it's Third-Person Action then TLOU is a perfect example to follow. For RPG's then I'd say Fallout. I think developers need to stray away from the whole zombie gimmick because that's been done for 30 somewhat years and focus on the hardship and loss as an ordinary survivor. Needs a well written narrative too.
The next Playstation and the next Xbox are both in R&D phases as we speak and Nintendo we already know of.
After Bungie left Halo, I was literally so ecstatic to know about their next project. I was following Destiny when it was still called Tiger as a codename in 2010. Here being one of the biggest Halo fans ever was expecting something bigger and more meaningful. After months of concept art and teasers about Destiny, I was 100% sold on it. Everything seemed so cool and perfect. Then I bought the game. Bungie either should have stayed with Microsoft or stayed independent with no 10 year contract ...
The people complaining about a downgrade seriously haven't played The Witcher 3. This is the first game so far on next-gen that truly blew me away.
I really hope it's a new Underground. I have so much time played on NFSU 1 on the OG Xbox it's not even funny.
Best game so far this gen for me. Was expecting a nice follow up to The Witcher 2 but that's an insane understatement. Blew away all expectations for me and I can say without a doubt being only about 9 hours into the game that it's already one of my favorites of all time. CDPR perfected a story based open world with tons of a content at the ready and I know I'll be playing this for a long long time even before the expansions drop. 10/10 in my book.
I've been playing the Xbox One version of The Witcher 3 for about 4 hours now and so far I haven't encountered any noticeable frame rate issues. Performance seems solid on my end and nothing has broke immersion thus far. Only time I noticed any frame rate dips was for about 5 seconds in the opening cinematic.
My local Gamestop broke street date so I got mine a few hours ago. I'm going to hate having to go to bed...this game is so beautiful.
Yup. I'm sure that's the reason.
Took off work for tomorrow to become Geralt of Rivia. 7 1/2 more hours until I go to the midnight launch!
Anyone know when the Xbox patch drops? My game is suffering from the manual save bug
