The changes made for SUBWAY multiplayer certainly changed the dynamic of the game, but it was still fun.
Guess what? They patched the game. It plays like an absolute dream now. Naughty Dog listens to their fans, and Uncharted 3 is officially the blast that it was back in June.
This article being on N4G's front page is completely misleading post changes.
To your comment below, nobody knows yet. The MP demo is not yet available in ANY territory. It launches in the US on 10/1. So far, SUBWAY has given no indication that the codes will work anywhere but the US.
You would only be able to use it if you created a US PSN account. Do that, and you're golden.
You can always redeem the Subway codes on their website, but the PSN codes are US-only until Naughty Dog announces otherwise.
I cannot WAIT for this multiplayer to launch on Saturday. There are so many prizes up for grabs, let alone the massive MP experience. Hit up those codes! We need people for matchmaking! :D
Interesting. I've never known that, but of course I don't believe this has ever happened with my account.
Thought hard about adding Ratchet and Clank, but ultimately decided I could get my fix with Tools of Destruction or Crack in Time. One of the big benefits of these five is that there isn't really a way to play them in our modern generation. No KH3, Tony Hawk is over, MML cancelled, Jak and Daxter - who knows? With the exception of GTA, these are all series where I'm hoping an HD collection could jumpstart further installments.
Lucky for you, a Devil May Cry HD Collection is already on the way! It's the main reason I didn't include it in my list. Already rated by the ESRB.
Absolutely STOKED that Ni no Kuni is coming stateside. Can't wait to pick up RE4 1/2 price on Tuesday, as well.
I feel like things will work out. What they suffered last weekend was a huge PR nightmare, and serious criticism from both TV and PS3 viewers.
I did hear that the second was considered the weakest entry by many. I've never played DMC, so I'm interested in this collection. It'll probably have to wait for a spring purchase though.
Awesome stuff. Might be playing some of this come college time.
The thing is, Bungie.net launched with Halo 2 while this is just now coming to fruition. These kind of features weren't a premium with Bungie, they were just an extra draw to the fantastic multiplayer. Now, with years worth of $15 map packs, charging for this service is largely accepted by those who don't remember or never visited Bungie.net.
The beta has definitely been a blast to play so far - can't wait for the full release
Gotta agree with you there. The $150 dollar Sharpshooter bundle is something I was INSTANTLY sold on when it was announced at E3. Getting ALL the necessary accessories to have that gaming experience, including the awesome Sharpshooter, is too good to pass up
This is sort of the inspiration for one my fears: that in a few years, "PlayStation Plus" as we know it will have replaced any free PlayStation Network use. Not with this generation maybe, but I'd bet that the next home PlayStation console will bring one standard yearly fee for everyone.
Definitely interested in what new content and direction Blizz is going with - really expanding the universe this time, it seems. Still, gonna need at least a drop in subscription price to reel me back in.
I don't really care for the bonuses because the four games don't entice me, but PAYDAY looks SO awesome! I guess I just got slightly gypped this year by the offerings and setup.
There are definitely some elements of Fall of Man that would need to be revamped to compete in today's market, but the core gameplay definitely still impresses today. It's all about the choice that the weapon wheel offers and how that forces creative level design. I think we're going to see some of that in Resistance 3. Graphically, Fall of Man is definitely dated, but it launched alongside the PS3 too.
Haha, what a cliffhanger in R2 tho, right?
Seriously? What the hell is with all these stories trolling Uncharted 3's multiplayer?
The removal of the Stopping Power effect made hipfire-rushing a legitimate and admittedly broken strategy. They have since added Stopping Power again, and aiming now works better than anything else, even at very close ranges.
Is hipfire-rushing still a legitimate strategy? Sometimes, but it will never be better than a player with good aim and reactions, and is completel...
