Totally agree with you. A killer app and king of the sales like Call of Duty will sell units like no tomorrow, and that gives publishers more incentive to produce better games (with a bigger audience).
I can't think of any online Vita game that will support simultaneous multiplayer over 3G anyway. Asynchronous, sure, but not actual competition / co-op.
What's the lowest AT&T data session? $15 for one month with a 250 MB cap?
For $20/month, I can turn my iPhone 4 into a Wi-Fi hotspot with no cap (unlimited data) on Verizon's network and connect with my Vita.
Obviously, this doesn't apply to everyone. I'm buying the Wi-Fi model because if, somewhere down the line, the cumulative 3G features are enough to warrant use, then the hotspot option with unlimited usage makes WAY more sense to me....
R3 WAS a better game than KZ3, but R3 LOOKED better than KZ3?
No. Just no.
That Kevin Butler ad was the only one they ran for R3, and it was atrocious. Putting Kevin Butler on a horse while Resistance 3 is shown on a tiny TV screen at his side is not the way to sell your game. Sony dropped the R3 marketing ball BIG time.
Given the way Resistance 3 ended... thanks for nothing Insomniac. I can usually respect a developer's wishes to wrap something up and set it aside, moving on to better things --- but there was no "Insomniac" ending to Resistance. I feel kinda cheated, but I'm looking forward to what they do next.
MS Points are a marketing trick, designed to distance XBLA purchases from the actual currency you're spending on them. MS may lose a small fraction of sales as people see the "reality" of what they're spending, but at a base level Points are an illusory trick for the consumer.
Wait a sec... If all goods are sold digitally and immediately registered online, and cannot be resold, then how do online passes make any sense? Everyone playing has payed for it.
True enough. Games wouldn't all cost $60, DLC would be priced fairly, no online passes necessary, etc.
Duplicate story. Here's the original from the horse's mouth:

Naming the next Xbox, "Xbox 720", would be MS coming out and admitting they're actually just naming their console line after skateboard/snowboard tricks.
At least with 360 they had an explanation (albeit a lame one). Something about encircling the gaming community and bringing in content for everyone.
The Xbox... Fusion?
*headsmack*
I figure posting here is the best way to point it out, but the actual article is full of spelling and grammatical fail.
"If so, you can go and play GTA V on your PS3, Xbox 360 or PC to discover the truth."
"Well, well, those of you who are really interested in this, but you still not believe it."
Not to mention the title, because this banner was actually found in Episodes from Liberty City.

Valve could say absolutely anything they wanted to about Half-Life 3 clues and rumors. It might not "technically" be an ARG. But so far, they have not denied any of the clues and leads uncovered in Wheatley's video or @Doug_Rattmann's tweets.
My favorite is the alleged response Gabe Newell gave when someone emailed to asked if people were overthinking things: "Yep." Thanks, Valve.
The quest for knowledge continues. Denying any clue...
Gotta agree with you there. It's simply too many to be coincidental, or over-reaching.
Good point, but why else would they even give a 60 days figure? I feel like saying "Max: Unknown" might be an in-joke to how delayed the game has become, or else just a technical term to make the tweet fit the ARG's theme.
Don't forget that @Doug_Rattmann retweeted all of the numbers from Wheatley's speech. I wonder if that was just to draw attention to his account, or if there's a deeper meaning there.
It will still be there when your time frees up :) In some ways, waiting helps the community develop and there are tons of cool things to discover on Elder Scrolls wikis and such.
Sony came out of the gate months ago recognizing every one of their flaws with marketing and developing for the PSP, and defining how those experiences would be better with the Vita.
A number one rule is that you don't recognize any mistake you've made as a company unless you have plans to fix it and do better. Why draw attention to the negative stuff otherwise?
Vita is going to launch with full-fledged digital support (for handhelds), sophisticated t...
