If your "anonymous source" is within Sony, why are you reaching out to Sony?
Besides, I really can't see this happening by the end of June. It's the 26th. They would've said something by now, and more than likely PSone Classic support will come with the launch of several PSone Classics at the same time, which will only happen on Tuesdays. The last Tuesday of June is today, and the only PSone Classic we're getting is The Little Mermaid II.

I definitely feel for you there. Let's say DD takes the form of streaming in several years time. Even OnLive, the biggest streaming service in the nation, lags on my super fast Internet connection at Uni. Something's gotta get fixed before this digital future can become reality.
That's very true. He's wanted to stop ever since MGS2.
Personally, I would love to see something new from Kojima. A new Metal Gear Solid game would be special, sure, but the main series 1-4 is a complete, no-frills saga the likes of which gaming has never seen. I'm of the mind that running the series into the ground might ruin the integrity of what's come before.

Actually, I thought this was a super interesting article. A 24 hour gauntlet of mostly shit games doesn't sound like anyone's cup of tea, but it's cool reading about how one might go about doing this regardless.
It's worth reading the entire article. The author talks at length about the relationship between film and games, and acknowledges that there is a place for every type of game - including Lollipop Chainsaw and the orig. Tomb Raider.

Unscheduled downtime is always a concern, regardless of whether there was ill intent behind it. Even more troubling is the fact that users are being asked to reset their passwords. Why haven't we heard anything concrete from Sony yet?
Seems like a general apathy towards the game, even among commenters here. There will always be dedicated weekend warriors who log thousands of hours, but the main idea is this:
Metal Gear Online doesn't exist anymore because a *worthwhile* community doesn't exist. If it was worth it for Konami to keep the servers up, they would. But here we are.

The problem is, streaming games is so new and untested, that whatever step they take risks rejection through the newness of it all. Just as Bethesda overcharged for Horse Armor DLC - they were one of the first to offer DLC, and had to decide on a price with zero precedent and no example to follow.
Not movies... free Blu-Ray PS3 titles, as in full retail games.
