I don't know why they can't make it so your new name acts as an alias that point to your original account name. That way nothing has to "break" as far as connections to games, trophies and so on.
For example in email administration, it's common to do name changes, like when someone gets married and wants to change their maiden name to their married name. Her email address has to be updated within the company, So you just create an alias and point that ...
Microsoft is only interested so they can tick another box for next gen, but like last gen, they will quickly abandon Japanese devs.

Absolutely loving this game. It feels totally like ps1/ps2 era rpg but with 4k graphics. Hopefully we can see more rpg's like this.
