By everyone's definition of an rpg, you may as well call MLB The Show an rpg. You can create a player, then in Road To The Show mode play out his entire baseball career (in YEARS) and all the while there are more stat categories than any rpg EVER created. You can upgrade his equipment, stats, change his clothing color, etc... but you know what? At the end of the day it's a sports game. A baseball game. That's what it is at the heart. Mass Effect at the heart is a shooter.
I'm not sure I'll be prepared for how amazing Killzone 3 will be. My TV might blow up @_@
Who needs it? I'm guessing people who want to brush up on their dodge ball skills that's about it really.
PS3 numbers went up from last week.
360 numbers went down.
Life is good.
I'm liking what I'm hearing. Make a game that has some substance! How refreshing. Maybe the pendulum is finally swinging back to the days when we got games that had good single player. None of this tacked on multiplayer and half ass single player.
Killzone 3 stated the same thing too where they want to concentrate more on story this time. FPS's are starting to sound like a genre I can get into now.
Hey I remember that feature too. And yes 2K5 still blows away Madden with their presentation and well just about everything really. Totally agree.
Pfft NFL 2K5 had that feature *gasp* in 2005!
I swore off Madden ever since they stole the NFL franchise.
YES! I would love to see Xenosaga remastered but alas, I know it won't happen since it was a NAMCO game created by Monolith who's now owned by Nintendo *sniffles*
lol another winner from the escapist. Good stuff.
LOL I love these late night infommercials! They're so full... oh wait.
I was thinking the same thing plus add MLB The Show franchise. Best baseball game on the market.
*sigh*
To everyone who thinks Sony is doing this on purpose to create fake demand, understand that a new 40nm graphics chip version was recently finalized and they're merely transistioning to that model.
I'm keeping my eye on this one. Hopefully it will have a decent story and not just another hack n slash with rpg elements.
Mario is right up there with Master Chief on the over-hyped characters list bub.
lol so true.
Looking forward to hearing more about this Trinity game :)
Thanks for the scans.
True. It's one of the things Sony developers enjoy is the freedom to work out their vision.
It's one of the things I appreciate most about them. And although it doesn't hit the home run like your typical shooter (sales-wise), franchises like these are much needed in the industry.
Sony's headed in the right direction with this bundle. If I didn't already have one, this would be the one to get.
When you have a "character" like Master Chief as your #1 representation of what video games are about, we'll always have people like Roger Ebert say what they say about video games.
They'll never see the thoughtful side of it, and you can't blame them for that even though there are so many other artistic and thoughtful stories out there that hardly ever see the light of day.
"I think it probably is because he spelt 'ammount' with 2 m's due to his humungous fat fingers "
LOL!!!
