Lag and space are going to be the two biggest hurdles for Kinect it seems.
good stuff
"And it took me three hours before I thought to myself, “Actually, I’m quite bored of this now...”
I love the art style.
I don't think it surprises anyone that all the launch games are sh*t except for Dance ...(whatever it's called)
HD remakes is even better than backwards compatibility! :)
"You really need a lot of room for Kinect. Matt’s New York apartment was not big enough to get a satisfying play experience, and even my decent-sized suburban living room felt slightly confined. I was backing into my couch well before I hit the recommended “back wall” shown by Kinect. People in average-sized urban apartments will get a sub-par experience just because they don’t have enough room. Who wants to pay $US150 for a machine to tell you that you should get a bigger domicile?"...
It's because MS wants to cash in on the hype before truth be told.
Everytime I think I've played my last game on the PSP something like this happens. Too bad no PS3 port.
And very choppy apparently...
lol
I can only imagine how f*cking hard platinuming this would be...
zero detects, zero kills, etc.. no way will I be getting it. But it will be fun trying
From the article:
"Everything just works. Just for the Netflix alone -- being able to pause and play, and keep my ass in bed or couch -- even though that's the laziest thing in the world. That's worth $150 right there."
So wait a minute, you can't pause and play Netflix with the current 360 without leaving your couch?! I don't own a 360 so I don't know if this is true or not.
After watching the video, it looks like simply setting it up is too time consuming and clunky. I can't imagine how casuals will have the patience for all that. And even after all that it was hardly responsive.
Might as well use a controller; much faster to navigate.
:D!
My 5850 will be fine for a while. I don't upgrade as often as I used to anyway...
Garbage.
I'll never understand why this game is so popular.
What a simple minded article.
How come there are no articles asking WHY the 360 is even a success? Because it shouldn't be.
Going back to the original xbox, the thing was big and ugly with a green X on top. The games were all PC ports that were watered down to accomodate the lack of mouse and keyboard. Most of the games were just dumbed down shooters.
The xbox was a failure because it lacked variety so MS kills it almost as quick as...
A better workout is moving all of your furniture out of the way just to operate Kinect lol.
