People don't buy consoles because of the way they look,they buy them for what they can do.
I don't think anybody is expecting Gaikai to be free, the general opinion is that it will require a subscription to PS+ to use. It's an optional service and not required to play games online.
For all the PC elitist's neither does Crysis 3 on uber settings, rubbish story, finished in 6 hrs. Generic shooter with flash graphics does not a great game make. So linear it might as well have been an on the rails shooter.
And the cost of this? Anywhere between £800 and £1500. Just for one component, the graphics card. Who the hell can afford this? And how much is next years model going to cost. PC gaming at the highest level is far beyond the means of the average gamer, and all I see is PC Elites comparing top end pcs with premium costs to a console that will last around 6 to 10 years for a vastly cheaper buy in.
