The game is good that's why it sold this much. It deserves this reception whether you hate Kotick or not. This is about Treyarch more than it is about Activision. Activision is a publish aka it's a company and a company makes money. I don't see people scolding EA or THQ for publishing games. This guy obviously has never played Shipment on CoD4, Dome on WaW, or Rust on MW2. (Ever had a chopper gunner on Rust? It's not pretty.) Each game has it's own little small map with predictable spawns. It's not the worst map, it's actually a very fun map. Possible one of the best small maps out of the previous 3 CoD titles.

Black Ops will be GOTY because it deserves it. It has the longevity that most games don't have. I'll be playing Black Ops until the next CoD comes out, it has that special ingredient. Halo Reach? I beat it, and got rid of it. Heavy Rain? Beat it, got rid of it. God of War 3? Beat it got rid of it. Black Ops has that complete package that people love to hate. It has that addicting factor. And why wouldn't it be a contender for GOTY?

"Hit detection" is a meaningless phrase used by people who happen to have a bad ping to the host or who just flat out have bad aim and spray their shots. I have yet to have a problem with my shots hitting right on target. People say the "hit detection" is better in MW2, but that's because the hit box was bigger than the characters actual body in MW2.
