Just think of them as sidequests in an RPG. If it's a fun game, it's always nice to have some bonus challenges. Don't forget games had 100% checklists before achievements were around.

Base Price is $40. So with Prime/GCU discount it's $31.99 and it's nothing out of the ordinary that amazon offers discounts to non-prime members on pre-release games and it doesn't always mean that they are bad.
