Nintendo really just starved the wiiu in its later years so the Nintendo Switch could have an amazing 1st year, which it did and it worked masterfully. I always wondered if the Switch could have a year 2 that matched or rivaled its 1st year and so far its been a resounding nope. Exactly, its like they go against the grain just for the sake of being different. I used to be a BIG nintendo fan prior to the wii, and ever since they just keep doing things that make me like wtf nintendo. I skipped the wiiu and i might just skip the switch as well.
Agreed, many Nintendo fans of today werent around during the nes-64 days when nintendo didnt need to rely on gimmicks and fads that started with the wii gen. Agreed, the 1st bioshock was the best and to me it felt like the magic was lost after every following entry... which happens in almost every game ever except very few. Im hearing a new entry is comming? God i hope its a reboot

Id agree with you except shortly before ff7 i played super metroid... and i was like head blown. Think i was like 14... ff7 didnt come until i was 16ish... i was also on the non memory card having ass club at first lol. Totally forgot that... ff7 def consumed me like no rpg before. Halo: Combat Evolved, Zelda: Ocarina of Time, Uncharted 2, FF7, Super Metroid, and Demon's Souls are among the games that after i finished them... i had to literally do a standing ovation haha im such a nerd

When i have bought games in the past, if its not like 90-100% likely i will like the game usually i get burnt so i quit buying games at launch or at all and have adopted the gamefly 14.99 1 game out mentality and only IF i like that game ill purchase it. Did so with Horizon Zero Dawn, God of War, and Detroit Become Human... Only game this year ill be buying without this method is Spider-Man!
Exactly this, id be suprised if sales didny fall off a cliff after its 2nd year. I hope they also do a pricedrop, but looking at the wiiu i doubt it will be 249 anytime soon.
