Exactly... even Nintendo has stated the wiiu was basically the precurser of the switch. I consider the switch a mid gen console because technically, all games that run on the switch could run on the wiiu. Look at how great botw ran on the wiiu. If they could get that game running on the wiiu surely could all the others. Just like with ps4/ps4 pro

The very fact Sonys console from 2013 still outsells Nintendos cheaper newer console speaks volumes. Sure, i bet it is easy for an indie dev to make a cartoon type game run on the switch. Id love to see this dev say the same thing if say they were trying to make Red Dead Redemtion 2 or any other graphical power house this or the last few years run on the switch. I gurantee he would be singing a different tune. Theres a reason this dev isnt making stellar AAA 3rd party games, and it isnt becau...

The matter is, on Nintendo and Sony platforms a gamer can download a free to play online multiplayer game and play it over an online network by that platform for free without the need to buy ps+ or nintendos online service. A game like Fortnite, on the xb1 and many other free to play games, need to have a subscrition to play said game.

Yeah but it looks like MT's are here to stay no matter how much you and I would rather not have it at all. All im stating is if we must have this despite how others feel about it, i wish for it only be cosmetically. The reality is, if a developer can find a way to nickel and dime us... and people out there are actually spending money on this they will do it. Which i dont blame them from a business standpoint. I would just hope they invest some of that damn money into making better stabili...

Yeah, this is hypocrisy at its very best. Even i didnt see Sony doing this as fast as they did. Ive listened to developers talk about this situation and claim its actually harder to not allow cross play than to just say yes to it in the 1st place. So basically what they are saying is "as soon as we cut through all of our duct tape, red tape, and super glue... it might be possible" lol.

Exactly. A youtuber summed up 3rd partys the best way ive ever heard by calling them "community pu$$y" that mostly everyone gets a stab at it. I can only see xbox diehards getting an xbox atp and even most likely +90% of them already have one.

I honestly dont ever see the xbox being extremely popular in the Asian countries or world wide for that matter like Nintendo and Sony. This gen could have turned out much differently for them had they not stumbled, tripped, and fallen so many times it would make bystandards cringe. The USA has always been MS's strongest market, and even that was mostly taken from them this gen by Nintendo and Sony.
