I was gonna hold off on a lot of these recent titles until the holidays, but looks like I'm dropping some cash early...Now I just need to decide if I'd rather have Demon's Souls or Borderlands.
Wow, this game actually looks pretty cool. I never actually saw any gameplay footage until this video and it looks like it may be worth checking out. If the reviewer's assessment of it being like a hybrid Zelda/Diablo is accurate, this may turn out to be one of the better console dungeon-crawler RPGS to come out in a long time. Wtf, the PS3:Slim has PS1 backwards compatibility? That's so random that it supports PS1 but not PS2. Doesn't affect me at all considering I have an original 60gig model, but if I ever opted for the Slim, it would be nice considering my PS1 library is much larger than my PS2 collection. Very nice. Glad I didn't pick up MP:2/3 yet, it will be nice to play through MP:2 with the improved controls. Finally something good for Wii, I haven't bothered with much aside from PunchOut in the past few months.

While I think BC is certainly a great feature, from personal experience it isn't a deal breaker. I don't see these price points being very alluring to consumers; you can pick up the actual discs on Ebay/Half.com/Amazon for much cheaper. I like the concept, but I'm not even remotely tempted by the current price structure.
Eh it's not really a huge deal when you can get a glitched rush via Baal quest and get into Hell as a level one. Then after chaosing for a few hours, you can easily get to 85+ in a day if you have the time. Still, it would be more convenient to be able to redistribute skill points (and hopefully stats) to make older characters who were made before some of the skill changes actually usable again (i.e. my pure dex zon who has like 500hp and maxed multi/guided arrow with low strafe).
I personally don't think it's right to pay 60$ for a game and not be able to get the full experience (i.e. playing online) without shelling out extra cash for Live. That's the main reason I don't have a gold subscription. If the game is mostly single player and superior on the 360 (i.e. Bioshock), I'll buy it on 360; if the game has compelling multiplayer, I'll get it on PS3. I thought Bionic Commando was much better than the conduit (IMO). I think the Conduit's control customization is definitely worth mentioning, as the game plays very smoothly, it just isn't particularly fun. I hit GameStop earlier, and while their website lists Bionic Commando as $49.99 for PS3, it was actually $19.99 in the store (found out while talking to the clerk about buying the 360 version to exchange at Walmart for the PS3 version). Pretty sweet deal, I really dig the game despite the average-ish reviews it got.

Damn, Bionic Commando is only $20 on 360 but still $50 on PS3...sucks considering I rented it on PS3 and got like 75% through it and have BC:Rearmed on PS3 as well (classic costume unlock). Maybe I'll buy it on 360 and return to Walmart for the PS3 version lol.
I still play D2 off and on...it's free and I have characters that are like 10 years old that can still own basically anything. It's a great way to kill time when you get sick of console gaming.

If they tried this nonsense with me I'd make them refund my deposit and purchase the game elsewhere. Not like anyone needs another reason to avoid shopping at GameStop; I haven't bought a game from there in years. Amazon generally runs specials (with free shipping) on new releases and if you're not too impatient you can always score a used copy on eBay/Half within a few weeks for dirt cheap. Stop encouraging shady retailers, there are many superior alternatives.
