No different than MS wasting motion control technology on an already motion saturated market.
The reality is Nintendo really needs this in order to support 3rd parties.
Hold on, economies of scale suggests components, made in 2006, will cost a 10th of that initial price today to manufacture, so you're obviously wrong.
They're saying that for 2 reasons.
1 - They want you to keep buying their old consoles.
2 - Neither of them have recovered enough returns on their last gen. machines yet clearly.
No mention of MH3, a game which requires 100 hours of effort to get good.
Yeah, everyone else is right.
This comment is so goddamned cliche at this point, Id have to assume you're a spambot.
Not long to wait eh
Fair point, everybody gets a bubble
I thinks its been harder to attract the "core market" than Nintendo initially expected.
If there's games people will buy it. But in my view there's still no excuse for the fact that Super Street fighter 4 and Nintendogs + Cats are outside the UK Top 40 this week.
@darthv72, Do they need propaganda to be convinced that the RROD is real or something?
Not trolling, because that would be a pretty clear reason not to buy it, even now with the problems fixed.
Is that good? I have no idea.
Hold on, didn't Sony say like 6 months ago that they wanted to partner with Nintendo on introducing 3D gaming to the masses?
lol @ people defending Kotaku
Yes, but unfortunately it doesn't stop its influence on the stock market.
The real sad thing is its affecting the share price.
Again, the bad news sells, the good news makes barely a whimper.
But what MH is it?
Is it Monster Hunter Freedom 3? I would hope its not, because the userbase has already bought it on PSP.
Ridge Racer 3D was meant to be good, but THIS good?
Im gonna get it next week.
One thing that matters, which the author neglected to mention.
Maybe a higher resolution screen, and a better quality masking of the pixel deformity that occurs when you're in 3D (one thing I noticed while playing SSF4).
NTDOY, and its jap. counterpart, are the most punished stocks ive ever had the misfortune of following in all my years. To say that Nintendo don't have a content advantage over Apple is ridiculous, how do we know this? because Apples last home console was a failure. To say that Apps are a major alternative of revenue, compared with actual console games, is also ridiculous, its just not going to be enough to pay the hundreds of employees. To say that honestly, Apple and Angry Birds can sus...
that was a good read
I actually hoped, or expected, that Donkey Kong would lend itself best to HD graphics, of course that was before E3 last year, but having Pikmin, or F Zero, debut the Wii HD are great ideas anyway.
