We all know what happened. MS wanted Rare to become Nintendo, but they were incapable of being Nintendo without Nintendos help (as explained in the article).
Currently, they've been forced to replicate Nintendo so identically that they've got no originality and no autonomy to do their own thing, and that is whats killed the company. (pic related)

This is true imo. I think they want to read books/newspapers, and surf the net from the couch.
But in circumstances where you are at home, and on the couch, wanting to play a game, now you can play HD titles on your lap.
