Of course not everyone thought that they were bad. This article isn't about those that didn't mind the polices. It's about those that did mind them and Microsoft's reasoning of why they disliked it. MS's reasoning for why appears to be "messaging."
I think dedicated was spot on in regards to why people didn't like MS's polices which was the polices themselves. Those that didn't like them simply didn't like physical games being mor...
***"Yeah, because it was totally the messaging and not your policies ans your plans for the future of gaming that upset people..."***
You are making too much sense on that statement. Too bad some will dismiss it as fanboy talk just because it doesn't favor their console of choice.
GTA and MGS are tied for my favorite franchise. I was happy to hear that MGSV was going to be open world. I really can't wait to see how an open world MGS game plays and feels like.
When you look at the details of both MGSV and GTAV you just can't wait to play these games. I'm more excited for GTAV currently because of the trailer recently shown still has jaw on the floor.
I can't really say one will be better than the other as they are essent...

Obviously so much whining without nothing what it is going to ultimately affect sales."***
Oh so now the "minority" can affect sales huh? What happened to the "hardcore minority scream the loudest", but the opposite happens as the world keeps spinning when it comes to actual content sold?
What it ultimately boils down to ...

Not even the same people for the most part, but it won't stop you and a slew of others from jumping the gun on people's opinions.
--EDIT--
If you (or anyone) are gonna disagree then you should have no problem pointing them out?

***"As an online gaming platform, MS implementation was the least restrictive considering"***
But it was the most restrictive in regards to physical games. Some wanted more freedom with digital content at the expense of physical freedom while others feel what we have in place now is better than what MS was offering.

You misunderstood what he was trying to say.
You act as if, if it weren't for Saints Row, Rockstar would have never came up with the thought of allowing players to smoke pot in the game.
HOLY!
DAY ONE for sure.
Rockstar fixed all the complaints anyone has ever had with GTA it looks like. Probably the only things not fulfilled are being able to enter nearly every building and possibly a variety of cheat codes.
WOW! I want this game now, September is too far away for me.
Not surprised by this at all.
It didn't seem laughable to you before...

Not sure if you are just trying to get a rise out of people or if you genuinely changed your stance...
Are you conjuring up your own conspiracy on a group of people based off one or two comments?
This seems to be pretty trendy here on N4G.
I should take a SWORN HATER's word over the company themselves... YEAH, RIGHT!
If you take the (allow me to use your term, if you don't mind) "fangirl" goggles off for sec, nuke & lvl, you'll see that it isn't unreasonable to believe that the decision about the camera was not dependent on XB1 price at all.
A simple way to debunk this is to ask in what situation in regards to XB1 price would Sony have included the camera? The XB1 ...
@Septic
Don't get mad at me calling me names and such just because I pointed out the flaw in your attempt at crying hypocrisy.
At the time you commented there is no way in hell you could say the majority of the comments at the time was praising Edge. So you either interpreted them as such or jumped the gun assuming that there would be future comments praising Edge. Either way you had no real concrete basis for your hypocrisy cry.
You can ...
@SilentNegotiator
***"None of the comments preceding yours are praise for Edge. All I see before your trolling comments is "Wow, that bold statement coming from EDGE?""***
That's what they do. They make a whole bunch of claims with no real concrete base for it, only generalizations that treats everyone's comments and opinions as one living breathing hive. Hell LOGICWINS the other day went into a thread claiming that N4G was saying ...
***"Sony Execs stated clearly that the voice of gamers was what pushed them to go in the no DRM direction"***
This never happened.
I'll tell you this, if all NBA teams had to choose between Wade or King James in their primes ALL teams would pick the KING end of.
Care to point out who said the author is wrong for having a different opinion hmm?

Then you either lack reading comprehension or you just want to see it that way for obvious reasons. Nothing suggests abandoning their original plans. Yoshida even says it himself that it isn't that their hardware polices are based off user reaction. Read it out loud if you have to. It helps a lot.

They may have thought about it some time prior to the reveal during the development process, but their decision was defintely...
The title is misleading. They are making this claim off of this quote:
***"There were lots of people who gave their opinions on that issue to my Twitter account before E3," SCE Worldwide Studios president Shuhei Yoshida told Famitsu magazine this week. "It's not that our hardware policies are decided strictly based on user reaction like this, but when we were thinking about what we had to bring across and how to bring it across, it was a very useful source....
$299-$349 for XB1 without Kinect makes sense to me. What's not making sense to me now that this is brought up is the price of the Wii U unless the gamepad is what's driving up the cost.
