The video game market is as healthy as it gets going into the holidays. Halo Reach kicked off the fall festivities and MOH, Vanquish, Enslaved, Star Wars: Force Unleashed, Sony Move, Fable 3, Kinect, GT5, Fallout and COD: Black ops will lead to one of the best holidays ever in gaming.
There are only so many gamers out there. At some point in console sales you reach a saturation point. Why analysts keep thinking hardware sale's will continue to rise indefinitely is dumb....
I think 9/10 is a fair score for Reach. If your a Halo fan and are one of the people that have been waiting for Reach it is a 10/10. If you don't like FPS's and Sci-fi stories it may be a 5/10...the point is everyone is entitled to their opinions but I do think you have to play through the entire game before offering an opinion on it not just watch the trailers. Of course you need a 360 for that...lol
I think it will be a combination of head tracking where you look side to side and well as voice commands. There may be an option to use joysticks superimposed on the screen like something you see on the Apple ipad. Either way it looks promising as does all the titles announced at TGS. M$ and the Japanese devs are really stepping up there game on Kinect...I hope the rest of the development community does the same.

I own the PS3 and the Wii...BUT...The 360 owns this gen with the best controller, best on line and the best looking and playing games. The hardcore know that...so does everybody else.
I haven't bought a PS3 game all year. They were all rentals at best. The Xbox saved gaming this year for me...just look at the list of games that could be had for a $150 console...

I think M$ numbers are a little low. They have 40+ million systems out in the wild, 25 million are registered on XBL. Is it hard to believe 3 million of those users will be interested in Kinect. How about new buyers??? None of the casual gamers on the Wii/PS3 interested in any of the casual games being offered by M$???
I think Kinect has the POTENTIAL to be a smash hit. The $299 4gb 360 S is priced competitively and could be a runaway hit. Having said that, the campaign is just...

As long as Gearbox is not making Halo 4 as was the rumored many times, they'll be fine. I'm sure there will be a Halo Wars 2 ( RTS ) in 2011 and even maybe Halo 4.
If I was M$ I'd hire Epic to make a Halo game. I think they have the best people to do a great Halo game.

This has been a rumor for ever. I think they blew there chance when Peter Jackson was gonna make it and then the whole thing came to a halt. District 9 was the Halo game that never was.
Yep, great first day sales...I know MW2 made 500 million in 5 days when it launched, we will see how Reach does over the weekend. I think they should of launched the game on Friday to allow it's main demographic time to enjoy the game with friends. Doesn't matter, Halo Reach is a great game.
Nothing is gonna stop Black ops this November though. CoD is the game to have this gen.

The hype is getting to M$. There are many great games and franchises and Halo deserves to be in that company but they should change the line to " ONE of the best games ever "...lol. Now that's a dumb review...the score is fine but criticizing a Halo game for looking like a Halo game is pretty dumb and borders on insane if marks are deducted because of it.
He doesn't say if he played on easy but you can guess based on his assertion that playing on hardest difficulty would be the best idea, then yes, he played on easy and now is complaining it's to easy...O_o
