i'm going to have to solidly disagree on this one
i'm not sure what trailer you are seeing but it can't be the same one everybody else is looking at
this looks a fair bit better than cod4
according to game informer 90% of what we've seen is gameplay...just with dynamic cameras
if you watch the trailer a few times you can differentiate in game vs cut scene
inclusion of civilians should be quite interesting
my girlfriend was a gamer before i met her, she smokes most of my friends in call of duty constantly
she has a 360 and a wii
you don't need them to be into what you like, i'd get along with my girl as well if she hated games
i'm not even saying that it is the best on 360, i'm just saying to the folks above if they are going to post screens try posting ones that aren't hand picked/setup in odd situations to prove a point
use real time shots, from real game situations
if they want to prove a point or argue a point they should be able to do it without posting biased screens
first one was very boring campaign wise and the multiplayer fun did not last
hopefully they will fix the major flaws that ruined the last game
since people who clearly don't play the game are posting up screenshots, how about we post some actual shots of what the game actually looks like?

you can post all of the shots you want to make the game look as ugly as possible, anybody can do that with any game...why not play the game once and realize it looks nothing like that?
pick apart these screens as much as you want because that is what it looks...
that screen you are touting as fake was never said to be in game, it was said to be 'in engine'
those are 2 compeltely different things, you can render anything inside of the engine
and again with the normal mapping speech, go look at the normals in games like killzone, lair, any title, they are just as prevalent as the ue3 games
every single title 360,ps3,pc uses normal maps these days
look at the new assassins creed, or even the old one......

every single game out there uses normal maps extensively, UE3 or not
normal mapping doesn't fake anything, it is a more efficient way of modelling and rending as opposed to using 100% geometry
if it weren't for normal maps game models would still look as if they were on ps2
and when they do i blame you for even bringing that into this section

this game looks better than 90% of the stuff out there and it runs at 60fps

cod4 still looks great and it is almost 2 years old
the more i play this game lately the more i appreciate what it could have been
in a game where everybody has a decent connection and there isn't a host running away with the game it becomes really fun
i wish they would alter the grenade sticking so grenades don't spawn every 20 seconds in guardian and all you have is a leader surrounded by stuck grenades
perhaps change the smoke grenades to a pickup because right now you still get screwed by them too muc...
the wait has been almost too long, they have been teasing this for something like a year now
and since this will be a pay addon for the game i'm fearing to see the price after some of the car prices
if they do add xp for horde it is going to be so little it won't matter
i just hit level 40 today on regular matches and the pace is crawling now
1 vs 100 is free as long as your a gold member
calm down crab, this is actually one of the cooler things to hit gaming in a while, ask anybody who ahs been in the canadian beta it is ridiculous fun
the game would suffer a great deal on wii, not to mention infinity ward isn't a big developer, treyarch is a gigantic game farm(they released world wat war on every single platform available)
the credits on WAW are about 4 times the size as COD4 because treyarch is a company whose purpose is to crank out games as fast as possible
infinity ward have just enough people to develop the 360/ps3 version because they can share assets such as models, textures, etc
its a digital container, basically like a slot
they have x amount of slots to work with that hold x amount of gametypes
its quite simple to cheat on consoles especially when sites out there sell lag switches for 5 dollars, rapid controller kits, macro controller kits, you name it
cheating is a big industry
amazon is where it is at for 360 these days, their live arcade store is very convenient
you bypass the silly points system all together and can instantly queue up your download
