I just tested the Portal from our new home we're moving into, a 2 hour drive away and in the rural countryside where we have to run Starlink. No fibre available here, but getting 357 mbs, and I'm streaming my PS5 from our 1gbs at our old home. It's streaming perfectly, so not sure what you're going on about @crazycoconuts.
@crazyCoconuts I guess it depends on your traveling style. I usually stay in privately owned hostels across our country who tend to invest more in good internet. I always check with them before I book.
Glad to see the love for Jurassic Park SNES. I remember as a kid, everyone in my middle school trashing on the SNES version and hailing the Genesis version as the superior version bc of the "better graphics". I enjoyed the SNES version much more and played through it completely a handful of times throughout the years.
30 years later, the SNES version seems to have held up better and is actually the title most deserving of being played in the recent JP collection. ...
Yea, it's incredible having titles available in handheld streaming format without having to have a console on. This is even better for traveling. I was messing around w it for the first time this morning and the quality was so good, I forgot at times that I was actually streaming. (1gbs) any minor imperfections aren't amplified like they would be on a big screen tv.
I guess XBox users can still do it if they have a Steam Deck, ROG etc, so nobody is left out. Streami...
Well I did call it, that a Donkey Kong title would drop today bc of the 30th anniversary of Donkey Kong Country being this week, but I was really expecting Donkey Kong 64 instead. Oh well, I'm still always happy to have another Gameboy game. I still have my original GB cart of this one, but my aging eyes can't even properly see the OG Gameboy's screen anymore! 😬
Oh, this is exciting. Grant Kirkhope is one of my favorite game composers and he already has done incredible work together w Soliani. Can't wait to see what they have cooking w their new studio, and it sounds like Kirkhope will be getting more involved w game development beyond just composing in the future!

It's easy to spot out the people who don't understand how this game works. They promised 4000x's the terrain detail from 2020's version due to AI learning that is shared on the fly across the network with other players. It literally is not possible without this streaming model.
If you hate it, go play 2020 version with rolling cache of real world mapping turned off, and just enjoy your generic boxy buildings.

Well yea, makes sense. You wouldn't double stream the games and also the console. Go straight to the source and stream the games directly from PSN... and that's friggin' awesome. Been hoping they would do this!
My biggest hope is that the entire PS3 section becomes streamable soon.
Yea, it's not for me right now, as I have too many other life priorities. However, I'm really happy to see that it's selling well for the ones who want that extra boost.

I hope though with all the Donkey Kong ferver right now over the park and album news, that Nintendo will maybe stealth drop Donkey Kong 64 onto NSO next Friday! If not then, hopefully by Christmas.

definitely a win for VR! I tried it this morning, and it feels like this is how the game was always meant to be played. The controls translate very well.
Yea, I wish we knew if Switch game purchases would be cross-gen bundled w Switch 2 games. It's a reason I'm still holding out on TLOZ: Tears of the Kingdom. I have no doubt it will hit Switch 2, but I have no idea if I will have to rebuy it if I buy it now on Switch.
I agree, I wouldn't touch this version as much as I'd love to have it handheld. If it comes to Switch 2, then most likely it will run much better.
Did you actually buy it, or did you get it free on PS+ when the PS5 launched? I never actually had to pay for it.
Yea for me, I never finished it, so it's easily worth 9.99 to experience it in VR. I think that's a fair price to show support for more games to come to VR in the future.

I played a bit of this on PS5 at launch and was really digging it. This is on sale for 9.99 on Steam for the next 48 hours, so it's a good time to experience it again in VR!
I hope they bring native support for PSVR2 players, but at the very least, they can run it off of their PCs now w the headset.

Sweet. That's abnormal that they'd release another title today on NSO, after they had just released the 1st DK Land on Friday. That's a sign that they're going to stretch the 30th Anniversary of Donkey Kong Country out, but over a short time frame. So maybe we will finally get Donkey Kong Country 64 by Christmas?
