Except NES, SNES, GC and Wii are remembered for it's Japanese Third Party Support.
GC had a few successful Western games.
N64 is the only one that had western third party success because Japanese third party games were non-existence and it was mostly Nintendo and Rare.
No one think of western games when talking about any Nintendo system in a nostalgic way unless it's N64 or GC.

come on. You know they will. Because no E3 Press Conference means the following to them:
- Nintendo doesn't have much to show
- Nintendo won't have third party games to show
- Nintendo not going to E3 (When they clearly are)
- Nintendo can't compete and is out of touch

Oh I tell you why...they don't own the game. Nintendo can buy some rights to it. Just like they took Monolith Soft off Namco and bought the rights to Fatal Frame as Co-owner with KOEI Tecmo starting from Fatal Frame IV and onward meaning no Fatal Frame game will come to any platform until Nintendo sell it back.
Hopefully he decide to make The Last Story 2. Having this released after Xenoblade Chronicles 2, Pokemon Diamond & Pearl HD Remake and Fire Emblem 2018 for Switch would be a great way to increase Nintendo JRPG lineup.

Nintendo 100% paid for Bayonetta 2. Platinum Games stated themselves time and time again it can't go anywhere unless Nintendo say so. Not even Sega.
