Developers need to either provide free updates with characters if the roster for their game is small or offer over 30 characters. 50 if possible. Smash Bros. for Wii U and 3DS only charge because it had 52 character from the start.
It passed it as of now but yeah the game is selling extremely well in the West on the Switch. Better than the PS4 version according NIS.
I won't be surprised if NIS America/Europe start porting more PlayStation titles to Switch considering the massive success in pre-orders for Disgaea 5 Complete
Switch needs it's own library of games. It need to be a place for Smaller and Japanese Developers to be able to make a killing on when they can't on PS4 or Xbox One because every other games on those platform get overshadowed by Western Games.
Disgaea 5 Complete sold more than Disgaea 5 on PS4 in the US in just Pre-Orders alone.
People dislike the Switch being successful because it proved them wrong.
