Switch increase due to Splatfest Demo. Although it wasn't as much as the previous demo back at the end of March but shows that Nintendo shipped some units for it. Next week will be interesting.

Switch is a also a home console and Nintendo is treating it like it's 9th Generation Home Console.

It probably sold more this week too. Since the Splatfest Demo was this week and just like last time people bought Switch in Japan the week NIntendo had the Splatoon 2 demo back in April in March I believe it was week 4.

No. Let the New 2DS and 3DS XL finish the 3DS Family line off by 2020, Which will definitely be the finale of the system, By that time Switch would no doubt be above 10m thanks to Mario, Animal Crossing, Splatoon 2, Monster Hunter, Yokai Watch, Pokemon and Dragon Quest release before then and Switch is already getting the next installments or ggames from the same Japanese Developers who work on 3DS titles.
