Not entirely though. DQXI on PS4 just had the option to move the characters. While the 3DS version is classic DQ. But outside of that it's still the same battle system.
it's the same game. Only difference is some platform exclusive features and visuals.
Please don't be a letdown like Shinovi Versus and Estival Versus
It will mostly likely be 55-70% 3DS and 30-45% PS4 of combined software sales.

Pokemon Switch isn't gonna kill the 3DS because we dont know when Poke Bank will come to Switch to transfer our Pokemon to the new games. 3DS Pokemon games will still be used for such.

Well the next Tales of game is coming to Switch, Whether it's a port of a old, collection or Switch exclusive or timed we don't yet.

Hmm it would be surprising if Dragon Quest XI on Switch is being held back for a worldwide release on Switch when it comes to the west. That would be something Nintendo could be pushing for as far as the Switch version. If we don't hear anything about before Fall then it will.
