at 4k there's no gains at all between previous and current gen cpus; at 1080p it's a different story - all the load is on the GPU at 4K

No offence but the 2080Ti, is about 100% increase over the standard 1080 - 50% over the 1080Ti

You couldn't be more wrong. It's still a native 4K render; DLSS is just an incredibly efficient algorithm - a number crunch on Nvidia's supercomputers - for anti-aliasing, smoothing out the edges and the result is magnificent.
It just enables the Turing architecture to process it faster, resulting in a x2 + fps increase with unprecedented detail and quality......
........on top of the 50% out of the box
Actually, EA have got ray tracing approaching 50fps at 1440p and 4K 30fps already and it’s only just been implemented. Those numbers will improve rapidly especially on on older games, if included. Nvidia have said it can also be coupled with the new DLSS tech so expect big improvements.
I've bought this game since the start of alpha. I know it's early days; I have a killer PC and this game still runs and looks crappy

No single player and forced multiplayer. It's just one game mode, not good enough; there's fuck all to do

A beta these days is effectively the finished game. Sea of Thieves should have come out last year, but Rare knew it was terrible.
What you're seeing here is the final product, nothing much will change between now and release.
The game is shallow and empty, just pretty water that's it.
Been playing it, while it can be fun at times, it gets boring very quickly. Not a purchase for me!
