When the next gen consoles release they will already be 1 generation behind; the GPUs are the equivalent to a 2070(not even close to a 2080ti). The 3000 series will be out before the consoles. Also the consoles have a life span of 6-8 years. By year 4 the consoles will be 4- 5 generations of cards behind - I think you get the picture? The consoles great are value don't get me wrong, but you get what you pay for.

First of all, I'm getting a PS5, I always have a PS. However the fact remains that within 6 months of release any advantages the PS5 has will be utterly destroyed by the exponential technological advances the PC component market benefits from. If you're not aware of this, I suggest you get educated. The consoles remain static technology for at least 5 years until a pro version comes out.

With both consoles locked at 60fps; 120 on graphically less intensive games. you most likely will never see the Series X power gain. You will however see a difference in the SSD load times of the PS5, which is very significant. Plus PS5 has superior exclusives.

Yeah it’s amazing for the cost. However it will be only closer to the PC in terms of power for the first 12 months. Within 6 months of release Nvidia will drop a new card, so that’s a generation behind right there. After 6-8 years of its console lifespan it will be 8 generations behind a high end PC which are never static. That’s why people buy a Pro version after a few years. Like I said before, still amazing for the price
