This is fast becoming the year of the bitter critic. It seems like 2009 was the peak of this gen and now mediocracy reigns. At least if you look at it from the critic's pov.
At this point either RDR or Mass Effect 2 is going to win GOTY and knowing critic's unabashed love for Mass Effect 2. ME2 will win most of the awards.

I don't think housewives and grandparents were into the Wii for the long haul. It was more like, oooh that looks fascinating. It's the must have toy this year, but after a while the charm wears off.
