What? We finally get a decent PS Plus title?
When you've run out of ideas. Gimmicks! Gimmicks Everywhere I see! Gimmicks!
The biggest hurdles for VR besides the price is the appeal of the games and how are you gonna convert gamers set in their ways (gamepad gamers) to suddenly use VR over what they know and love. They've developed their lifelong skills on a gamepad and watching a screen.
@SkippyPaccino VR is an accessory like the powerglove and not a console or TV.
Remember when fighting games came out and you unlocked everything. Now they come in pieces and charge you. Screw the modern state of fighting games!
$149.99 or it's doomed! Paying the price of a console for an accessory is ridiculous. We're not all rich ya know.
I can't wait for them to showcase tech demos disguised as full retail games or taking existing games and tacking VR on to it. That's right, these are gonna be games made around showing off the gimmick of VR.
22 years of crap! Thanks for the first 3 years Sonic!
The future should be good games and not gimmicks.
It means that the majority of gamers get to play good games they know and love on the good ol' gamepad. While VR users get to play their favorite games with tacked on VR controls that don't control as well as gamepad controls. They get to use that Sony's failed Move controllers, lol!
Same exact thing they were saying about motion control.
Sounds familiar @amiga-man
I have no doubt motion control is here to stay, these are the first early steps for motion control, but it will grow into so much more and be utilised in many areas outside of gaming, medicine, education, film, etc
Those dismissing motion control really don't see or understand it's potential.
Yeah all 50 million gamers are gonna be wearing this giant plastic garbage on our faces, lol! My friends are over but we can't see each other. What a sad future for gaming.
I couldn't agree more. It even feels like motion control again. Remember when we road that wave for almost 10 years? When motion control demoes wasted our time during all those E3's. Often using kids and games full of cute tigers, ugh! Look I'm playing tennis with my body. This is the future.
Here, play your favorite game you're used to playing one way online like COD and now play it in VR. It's not happening. Ever! Streaming is on the rise as well. Gamer...
SSX Series!!!
Deep Down was graphically ahead of it's time when it was first revealed. I remember being wowed by it and thinking, now this looks next gen! Well It no longer looks impressive. The reason being because I've played games now like The Order and Rise of the Tomb Raider. The graphics for Deep Down no longer look special to me. It looks typical of what you'd expect in most PS4 and Xbox One games. That's what happens when you take so long to release a game.
Where are the Nintendo isn't competing with Sony and MS people? lol! Sure, when you're in third place you're not competing with the people beating you...obviously lol. Remember when the Wii was #1? Nintendo was tooting it's horn. Talking about how they welcome all competition. "We offer what Sony and MS can't to the consumers." Yeah all that talk goes out the window when you're losing the race, lol! Now you're like, what? No we live in our own bubble, lol...
No, it's called having something brand new and having new experiences. That will wear off. You did the same thing with your PS4. Shiny and new is the awesome must play console!
It's going to be the usual. Play it and it looks gorgeous and 2 hours later you're done. That's it? Aw well. Next game.
Does this mean they're coming to Steam though?
