WTF are you talking about? When was MGS4 a sandbox game? The game is linear. Just because you have a broader scope to walk around in doesnt change the fact that the game initiates cutscenes when you take the designated path. There's no side missions or alternative endings that change the initial outcome?

I posted this yesterday and today. They are running on EA SERVERS AND THE SERVERS ARE AT FULL CAPACITY. YOU CANNOT GET INTO A GAME AND IF YOU DO, YOU MIGHT GET DISCONNECTED. I played yesterday for about an hour and I hated it. You get killed every 2 minutes and the Long Range soldier's weapon can kill you with 2-3 shots. 3 Grenades can blow up a tank and bazookas have no blast radius. They are only useful with dead on hits. It's worth $15, but not that full retail BS people have been spouting...
EA's servers are horrible and this game is not that great. Talk about dying every 10 seconds. Long Range soldiers rifle drops enemies with 2 shots and bazooka's have no range unless detonated right on target

If they made it for both systems, the game would take much longer to do because of the exotic architecture of the PS3.
