The CoD bashing is getting ridiculous. Its a great game but lets tell the truth here...the only thing that has the ability to beat CoD is BF3. Once the buzz gets out and kids who know nothing about blogs, online forums, or N4G get a glimpse...all you'll hear is "I WANT THAT"
battlefield 3 will revolutionize the FPS genre the way COD4 did. Shooters became generic and MW changed it with perks, weapon loadouts, customization, and killstreaks. DICE made the world get a glimpse of destructibility and terrain changes that can alter the outcome of a match. Not to mention an engine that can produce fantastic graphics w/o losing the integrity of scale or frames per second
After seeing BF3, this game looks like shit. Nothing's going to want to follow that Frostbite 2 engine
Seriously you cant compare those 2. BF3 wins hands down. You should compare BF3 with KZ3 and Crysis 2. Black Ops should be compared to BFBC2, but if you look at the graphics when dealing with the scale of BFBC2, there's no comparison. If BC2 where scaled down to CoDs environments, the frostbite engine would own it.
I cannot wait to see when they unveil this game. Do you think it will be at E3 or before?

Told Ya So! When EA's rep said in Dec. that they are putting a shitload of money into Battlefield 3 to make sure it becomes the new COD Killer, they werent kidding. They are going to raise the bar in FP shooters. People have no idea about the scale, destructibility, graphics, and realism. Bullets actually lose velocity with distance travel and guns are not accurate when you spray bullets. You actually have to burst fire for accuracy.
I was thinking of getting new 360 too. The 199.99 is matte black like the PS3 slim, but the $299 one is that shiny black plastic which I like better. Plus its wi-fi. XBOX has made it easier for casual gamers to jump in without breaking your wallet. I can stomach 200.00 as opposed to 300.00
Sony should've made a $199.99 sku to begin with. This is nothing special considering Sonys arrogance in thinking the world would continue to buy a $299.99 without the option of a watered down one for casual gamers the way MS has done. Too bad it's only in the UK.

EA Stated that they are dumping a lot of money into this franchise. I guess they noticed that MoH wasn't the CoD killer they hoped and are thanking their good business sense that they bought DICE when they had the opportunity. BF franchise is the only Franchise out there that can rival Call of Duty and has the ability to steer those fans away and try something new the same way 2K did with NBA Live. They are in Killzone. I want to play as the Helghast in a single player campaign. The Helghast are protecting Helghan from being stripped of its minerals after the Alliance left them there to die after colonization. That's what the first Helghan war was about. Since then, Killzone started with the Helghast invading Vetka. It's kinda like Avatar except the Helghast are stronger and more brutal.
