If this is true, there will probably be more than 1 beta period, I could see them doing a couple more of these small beta periods, like beta weekends and whatnot.
5$ works for any store in the US for a pre-order. If people cant afford that they really need to re-evaluate which hobbies they have.
Why not just pre-order, put down 5$ and bam you get your beta code instantly. I really dont understand the fuss people make about pre-ordering a game, put less then 10 bucks down, you can get a refund on that money up to 1 day before release if you really decide you dont want the game.

It would work out just fine. There are MMO's on consoles that do just fine. There is no reason that this wouldn't work too.
Why would you hope it would only be a PS exclusive? Dont you guys understand that multi-plats are better for everyone, more revenue for devs = more better quality games for all of us. This fanboyism is going to kill the very thing you love.

Wow, Strangeaeon even started his comment with "No offense," yet you still went off on him for no reason at all. You act as if he should have known that you work in the field and do all sorts of research. Even stooping so low as to immature name calling (for no reason at all).
