@Highplayer...that budget for halo infinite is just rumor and speculation...not likely that they spent that much on it. if that were true, do you know how many copies of halo they would have to sell in order to just break even? take that news with a huge grain of salt.
say what?? you are way off...they're panicking because this digital version currently costs more than the S version so everyone is saying microsoft are idiots for releasing this so late, no disk drive, should have been mini sized, no increase in storage, sub par games bundle, etc....they talk like this will replace the current S console which it is not.
i don't know why people are in such panic mode over this. I'm 99% sure they will drop the price to $200 or less by the time e3 rolls around. I'm thinking $150-180 and rebundle it with better enticing games.
as far as why now? because we're still a year or so away from next generation and in that tine they can add more people into xbox gaming. after all, it's not like all of this generation's games will automatically become obsolete once the next gene...
a 2 tb ssd, 16g of ram and bring it in at $400 to give it a nice start...highly unlikely though. i think all consoles should aim for that $400 mark for starters...at least that's my threshold to buying day-1. anything above that and I'll wait a good year or 2 before jumping in....still a lot of good games in the previous generation that i never got around to playing that will cost $20 or less once the next gen hits shelves.
looks like there's a game of the year code in there as well. guess I'll be waiting until the end of the year to pick this up like i did with the previous version. although i waited for the right sale to come along, and it did cause i ended up getting the XL for $8 :p... #Patience4TheWin
i got it free with my xb-1 and a lot of the glitches that i experienced were mostly from the co-op, constant disconnects and such. although i did encounter a few during solo play where i would get stuck in fences, walls, and even in mid air and that was early in the game.
i have yet to finish it but in spite of that what i did end up playing was rather enjoyable to say the least. more so than assassins 3 which bored the hell out of me.
a full blown 1tb ssd will definitely jack up the price. if i were microsoft i'd throw in a 2tb hybrid drive instead. more storage, faster, yet less expensive which would allow them to potentially release a cheaper console than sony.
it's all in the people's perception really. for instance, when they revealed the Xbox One X i actually thought it was clever seeing as how the acronym for it actually spells out X.B.O.X, in hopes that people would end up referring to it as another XBOX perhaps?... or maybe it was a nod to the original xbox when they thought of it....anyhow, I'm not some millenial that uses acronyns or leet to write everything so this All Digital edition went over my head since it wasn't promot...
I thought maybe it's because it was enhanced for the X, at this point I don't know what criteria they use to determine prices, I just checked the enhanced splinter cell games and they are both $10 each and those games were in demand for quite some time....I suspect that ninja gaiden 2 will eventually drop in price in a few months.
no, i bought 360 games on there for $5 and $10 before...it depends on the game really.
relax people, expect a price drop at e3 as one of the "big announcements"...this version will appeal to many people around Christmas time when they find deals for it for $150-$200. not to mention that it will look more appealing to those folks when Microsoft announces the new games coming from the new studios. knowing that consumers can play those games on that xbox for a mere $150-$200 would serve as a great Christmas present for someone. no need for panic.🙄

they are not calling it the SAD edition, just immature gamers trying to be funny using acronyms are the ones calling it that. The All Digital edition is what's clearly printed on the box.
not really; blu-ray movies (including 4k) have been on the decline for several years now. all while digital 4k content has been on the rise...it's really a matter of whether you are a collector of movies or not....i know i have a whole rack of movies from years past just sitting there, none of which i have rewatched (or opened for that matter) in the last 8-10 yrs....by contrast i can find probably 95% of the movies i have somewhere online through streaming services.
didn't ninja gaiden 2 have the 3 old school ninja gaiden games hidden within? so will those be enhanced as well?🤔
...and it will be $150 as soon as the regular S goes on sale which happens often, not counting the usual independent sales you see from amazon and other retailers.
@Fallen angel...$10 a month is NOT the only way to get gamepass, $1 deals happen regularly, in fact, right now they are offering 3 months for $1. gamepass has been out for over a year now and i have yet to pay full price for it. not to mention i don't know anyone that subscribes for an entire year.
the smart way to use gamepass is to play the game or games you want, finish them during that month and let it expire and wait for the next deal.
