@jzn...i did mention i got mine about 4 yrs ago and that you probably can find them for less now...in fact, a quick glance through amazon and i came across a seagate 2tb hybrid drive for $89...which is a much better deal than the $200-300 you're talking about for a ssd.
@teflon... I'm always dumbfounded when people are concerned to do anything to their console because "it will void the warranty." consoles usually come with a 1 year warranty. why worry abou...
i would go for a hybrid drive. faster than your average hdd with pretty much the same capacity storage but without the cost of a ssd...i have had one on my xbox for the past 4 yrs now. a Touro 1tb which i bought for $75 back then, probably cheaper by now.
nice, I've been meaning to buy Wolfenstein 2 since i never played it, now i won't have to, not at full price at least. 😜
8 games for $20 bucks? I'd say it's worth it for those that haven't played them. personally i can do without the black and green look of the gameboy games. (they should have given a colorized option for those)... i may dive into these if i find myself bored during the summer months.
i agree about Abzu, although it's easy to get lost within the game as there isn't a lot of direction on what to do or where to go.
I'm not worried about it cause if single player games were to die then so would mario, zelda, kratos, master chief, and all those others that are still striving and pulling in the big bucks...not to mention there's a slew of single player games on the horizon.
that would be ideal for every game cause personally I'm never going to buy a playstation and i doubt I'll invest in a gaming pc but i know people that do and it would be rather cool to play against them regardless. i guess that's why cloud gaming seems appealing to a lot of developers and why I'm not against it.
seems like the only reason they deleted it is because ed boon "debunked" it by laughing at it and saying it's not true with no viable explanation...i guess it's eligible to be debunked because the kostumes can be obtained for free if you keep playing...he didn't give a price on total kost to buy them all though.
1- mortal Kombat 11 player....i unlocked 3 kostumes by playing 5 matches...cool
2- mortal kombat 11 player- i unlocked 10 kostumes by playing 20 matches...not bad
3- mortal kombat 11 player - i unlocked 20 kostumes by playing 50 matches...kind of a pain but at least i got 20 kostumes out of it.
4- mortal kombat 11 player - i unlocked 40 kostumes by playing 80 matches...i don't want to play anymore, I'm good with the 40 i got.

you can't really apply the same principle as having a netflix subscription because unlike gamepass, netflix has new content on a weekly basis and that may warrant paying for it every month for a year. not to mention that they create shows exclusively for it whereas there are yet any games created exclusively for gamepass.
aside from that, netflix has been around for over 10 years now and has been gaining ground and built it's current reputation on high quality progr...
DeadMan gets it. 👍....all these cry babies claiming unfair practices like they are being forced to buy every single item available.
how is this any different than someone walking into a clothing store and buying every single shirt, pants, and shoes on display? they put a variety of clothes out there so you, the potential customer can pick and CHOOSE what you like and buy that and nothing more. however, the store isn't going to stop you from buying 20 shirts if you wanted ...
well the reason they don't offer a year's subscription is because hardly anyone would actually pay for it for a year. not every game on there appeals to everyone so why would you pay a year to play 3 or 4 games you might like? i would think it certainly wouldn't take you a year to finish 3-4 games 🙄
that's the point...
this is for people that buy a month or 2 at a time because they just added a game they may like so they buy it for $10 bucks...
how are they ripping off customers exactly when they tell you she is available for free if you CHOOSE? fact of the matter is that there are actually lazy folks out there that PREFER to buy these things than play for them. get mad at them and not the people giving you the OPTION to do so.
well i say that because i actually read the article. you comment and question my comment WITHOUT reading the article...makes total sense.🙄
why do people keep comparing this to a yearly subscription?🙄.... it's worth it if you pay monthly, it's not if you pay yearly. why is that so hard for people to understand?? it's so simple to break down....
gamepass - $10 a month
gold- $10 a month
Ultimate - $15 a month = you save $5...
paying for 2 months straight saves you more...
gamepass for 2 months - $20
gold for 2 months - $20
not sure what the point of this article is since it has nothing to do with gaming. feels more like a rhetorical survey in morality. who would actually say "no, they shouldn't be put on hold for an earthquake" ? and if they did what would be the solution other than to jump on that person for not having empathy?...dumb article. 😒...the things they approve around here.🙄
@razzer, i don't disagree with you. coming from windows central they should have waited a week later when they announced it to lay out the "why's" ...i don't know if they fail old articles here just for being old. i've come across quite a few that were fairly old by at least 2 weeks and still get approved....
@boing... why consider it if it ends up being $150? because at $150 you're getting the the absolute cheapest entry point in current gener...
to be fair, the article was written before they officially announced it....this console will be $150 by year's end, at which point a lot of people will consider it.
@napalm,...yes, they did. in fact both injustice games had loot boxes that were awarded to you by grinding through matches in the various towers. basically grinding fir it unless you were dumb enough to pay real noney for it....same for the unlocking of krypts in mortal kombat x...different way of doing it but the principle remains the same.
if you took the time to read the article the writer raised the question by factoring in pricing as well, which would make a difference for a potential buyer as to which is better.
