They may have done. But their lack of first party studio's today showed with 1 proper game announcement.
After showing two multiplat games, and announcing 1 exclusive...well, I was positively shocked at how bad Microsofts showing was. This will most likely be glossed over due to the fact the media recieved Xbox 360 slims on the house.
Fortunately my wish for slim 360 was answered. Sadly, apart from abotu two games, I have no other exclusives to look forward to on it. Poor Microsoft. So poor.
Yeah I'm buying one if they show me more games that I want that aren't Gears 3 and Fable III.
Boring. Bring on Killzone 3
And who said the Xbox was the new home of Japanese developed RPG's? Can't wait for these two. Hoping to see more of XIV Online over the coming days.
Halo: Reach failed to impress me man. I'm still on a Killzone 3 hype and I can personally only take small doses of FPS. Killzone 2 being my favorite shooter, thats the focus of my attention for now.
Halo Reach's draw distance was fantastic. But you could tell they sacrificed visuals.
As I said though Gears 3 impressed the hell out of me.
Press conference was horrible with severe lack of games. But the slim announcement was nice. I'll be buying one along with Gears 3 and Fable III.
That's the most staged thing I have ever seen in my life
"For me, the highlight of the evening was watching Ninja Gaiden creator Tomonobu Itagaki walk into the event in his white robe, taking in the scene behind his traditional sunglasses. He looked around a few times, stood quietly for a few moments and then turned around and left. "

Eurogamer grasping at straws. The fact that were found out with their feable attempts at using scripted video, it's clear the tech isn't finished.
So by your logic hardcore games have to have blood and cuts am I rite? Kill Crow?
Well if this trickery is anything to go by, I won't be going anywhere near Microsofts products.
HAHAHAHAHAHAAHHAAHAHA
Youtube on a paid service?
.....
Taking this into account, I'm GUESSING the slim will be $150 (Do not quote me on this). If that's the case you're looking at $270 for a console and Kinect? I'm also guessing Kinect will come bundled with free game like Wii Sports which is a fair deal. But I dunno, it still seems a bit high. This is the worry I have for Kinect and Move...yes, the peripheral may be a good deal, but remember, the audience they're trying to attract don't own the console yet, so thats extra...
The thing looks damn sexy. Please come in white! Regardless, if the price is right, and my student lifestyle accomodates it once I start Uni in October, I will buy one.
Surprised you're still active in this world Labby...after we ran you out of GT for good. Or at least..you got perma banned. Why are you in here when you can be fapping to the detailed tree's in Fable III?
Only shooters? Halo ODST, Forza 3, Splinter Cell: Conviction, Metro 2033, Mass Effect 2, Crackdown 2 and Spec Ops beg to differ. What a variey rich selection.
And E3 hasn't even started. I want to see new IP's from them. Because their lack of willingness to innovate software is bugging me.
Microsoft doesn't seem to get it. We don't want to see multiplats nor do we want to see timed DLC announcements and Wii rip offs. We want to see games...games and MORE GAMES. They under delivered on an unprecedented scale today. Sony has announced more games before E3 than MS had in their own CONFERENCE. That says a lot to me tbh. So much for "big surprises"
