I think, what Sony did was take away that niche/geeky tag that gaming had before the release of the original Playstation. Before that, although Nintendo and SEGA were having success, no one can deny it was seen as more of a niche hobby. With Playstation, look at how many people bought it, 100 million. It became a mainstream entertainment product. You could walk into offices and see people playing World Cup 98 in the break rooms. In that respect, I respect Sony as the Playstation helped expand...
But software wise..they are killing it, so I wouldn't challenge him if I were you. And they're outselling their direct competition monthly/yearly world wide. So Sony is strong right now. As long as they keep providing the games they can do no wrong in my opinion.
I love how Microsoft says that 360 continues to "outsell the PS3 for the 5th consecutive year and every single month in 2010". Talk about spin. But I forget, when you're getting beasted in Europe and Japan, the US is all you have left to gloat about. Shame they look like idiots doing so. They obviously know that any lead they get in the US in NPD is demolished twice over by weekly JP sales.
I just think MS look increasingly stupid everytime they open their mouth about sa...
This is older than the internet
Does this suprise anyone. Sony owns Columbia after all lol Sony Pictures has a huge Hollywood presense. I'm just surprised they didn't flex their muscle sooner. That said the movie content on PS Store is pretty damn extensive.
Because some of these "exclusives" are actually multiplatform games. Although fanboys try to deny it, this is the case, and as such, a large majority of the potential sales for the 360 are taken up by PC gamers downloading the game off of steam or buying the PC version at retail. If the game was exclusive to the 360, it would be a different case however.
QFT. This writer clearly doesn't have a PS3 and this article is pure fanboy drivel/flamebait. Remove this POS from the front page before it gets ugly.
This must be a joke surely. Trophies/Achievements aren't the be all and end all of gaming. Whoever thinks so is a tool. This article is so pathetic.....
Sure, I think Trophies are cool in as much as they give me extra incentive to go back to a game, and perhaps strive to do difficult things I never tried before and get the most out of my purchase, but they aren't so important that they're a defining gaming feature that should be compared across systems. Writer of this arti...
Perfect timing. While I'm out there, although I'll be at TGS during the day, will definitely pick up a copy at some point. Why is there so much hate towards Pokemon? O.o Am I the only one that thinks Pokemon wouldn't work with fancy 3D graphics etc etc. Just ruins the "feel" of Pokemon imo
Thats a safety hazzard...and in a hospital of all places
I don't see Gran Turismo, Pokemon, Mario, Zelda, Donkey Kong..ah the list goes on..on the Xbox. Only exclusive franchises on 360 that are important are Halo and Gears..maybe Fable.
Nope. It was a tooth pick. When a team made up of Genma, Shizune, Raidou and Iwashi was on a mission, and the Sound 4 were escaping Konoha...they confronted them in combat, and at the start, I think it was Tayuya who threw the Kunai, and Genma spat out his tooth pick and deflected it :]
When I see someone in DOA spit out a toothpick to deflect a Kunai, then we can talk about these two Ninja franchises on the same level. Until then, DOA isn't in the same league as Naruto in terms of Ninja awsomeness.
Cry moar
I went to this event on saturday. Qeued for 4 hours to get his autograph as well as Yoji Shinkawa's on my Peace Walker box. And got to shake hands with both of them. Such a feeling of fulfilment as I left the store lol
It was cool how, Shinkawa stopped to look at you for a sec and drew a quick sketch of everyone he gave his autograph too :] Kojima = LEGEND
Their handling of Tales of Vesperia is sickening. They could have made so much money if it was multiplatform and localized for all territories upon launch.
Can't wait for this. Holy shit. Gonna lose many hours of my life on this.
Of course it does. One of the best looking PS3 games. Yet, I don't think it's fair to compare the game to a game thats STILL in development, and not only that, using the same engine, but improved. What I want to know, is if Rising can end up being the masterpiece that was MGS4. And to be honest, I seriously doubt it.
InFamous 2 gameplay footage I'm guessing. Like the article says, debut gameplay is on GTTV tonight so...
