The email makes it sound as if actually, Playstation Network will not be renamed in its entirety. From what I can see, you get a SEN account, as opposed to a PSN account and then on that SEN account, theres various services such as PlayStation Network, Music Unlimited etc. Rather the the PlayStation Network being dumped, I think it's just being shoehorned into this unified service.

Really glad to see Resident Evil Revelations doing well. Hopefully it will do 300-350k life time, if not more. Capcom did good with it. Most atmospheric Resi game in years. It proves that 3rd person/Resident Evil 4 style gameplay can work with the older games' dark atmosphere which I feel RE4/RE5 didn't capture too well.
I think it will be the year of portables in general. Not only am i looking forward to all the 3DS games I'll be playing this year, but also hotly anticipating PS Vita's launch later this month. I'll be damned if handhelds are in any real danger of going extinct.

You need to realise that actually, the problem with Square Enix is Wada and Toriyama. Why Toriyama was given so much power over FFXIII is beyond my understand. Was FFX-2 not a hint that this man cannot produce a game with a good story to save his life?

They make far too many products and aside from their digital camera's and games consoles, they all come at niche premiums that no one can afford in this economy. Shame there is no co-op. A co-op RPG of this caliber would have felt really fresh. In fact the game looks like it was built with said feature in mind. But no matter, aside from Battlefield 3 and fighting games I couldn't give a flying fuck about multiplayer.

Quote for truth. FFXIII looks better than both versions of XIII-2. How on earth thats possible I don't know but, and please don't class this as fanboyism, but I believe it's because FFXIII was made on the PS3 then ported to the 360, hence why the 360 version looked so bad.
This time around Square Enix wanted parity, as well as less discs. So FFXIII was made from the ground up for both, and this is the result. I mean I could be wrong, but thats the only explanation...
