I’d imagine the states are more strict with gambling than the UK. The “war on gambling” has been around since the mafia days. If they won’t classify it here I doubt they would anywhere else. Besides Asia, they basically classify games in general as drugs.
I can’t wait to see the ignorant tears flow when the obvious results come in. “Why can’t we be more fair like communist China?”
I don’t either, he ranted off a bunch of reasons but those are the only ones I can remember lol. He just said there is no point in leveling up anymore. He was saying something like everybody he plays is grouped up in a cluster and fire at the same time. He went off on everything lol.
I have friend that was obsessed with destiny one and the disappointment he has with destiny 2 is hilarious. He took that shit personal. He said they ruined iron banner by making the light levels worthless. He also said the token stuff is outrageous.
I never got into destiny like that, it doesn’t matter much to me either way but when you piss off a diehard like my friend then you’re doing something wrong. You lost focus. He went back to destiny 1.
An original thought from the clownish gaming media is rare. It’s refreshing when it happens though.
As expected of the peasant class lol. I guess monolith should be happy they bought the game at all.
F**king fence sitter! What are you, a fan of gaming in general? Pathetic.
So lie and twist reality to get the desired result? The end of MTs? As much as I hate MTs, it’s not up to me or us to decide their fate. It’s a market thing and I’m a “I don’t agree with what you say but I will fight for your right to say it” kind of person.
Real success is something like Xbox live which changed the console platform in general. Sure the money was abundant, but to change the direction of an industry? Almost a prize in itself.
Yup, you can gamble on anything and legally it’s different for every state. Should these card games be penalized like a brick and mortar casino or an online casino? Raid the comic shop and start arresting people like a mafia speakeasy for their magic showdown?
For example, in my state it’s still illegal to play a game of poker at your house. Is it gambling (punishable by law) in games where there is no “house”? I don’t think so. Of course it’s not enforced and they are in t...
Nice. I thought they were lazy tubs of lard before I saw the statistics on human deaths by hippo. They are no joke.
It is gambling but we’re not talking about a broad Webster’s dictionary definition, we’re talking about specific legal guidelines and whether or not it needs more regulation. Our opinions don’t matter, only facts matter. Adding a car into a jackpot doesn’t take away the money factor. Many places use prizes as currency. Even states that have made gambling illegal allow “charitable gaming” is what it’s called. It is more like a donation with a chance to get something back, which is completely l...
That’s actually a great comparison and shows how ridiculous people are by making this comparison. Even getting to the point where they are contacting gambling officials. People hate microtransactions so much that they form their world view around their belief.
People can gamble with anything, people do gamble with everything. The only things that are certain are death and taxes. That broad view of “gambling” isn’t what we’re talking about though. I NEVER thought I would ha...
That has nothing to do with if it’s gambling or not.
“Currently, the Gambling Commission does not class loot boxes as gambling because, in its view, the items obtained from them cannot be exchanged for real-life money.”
So under your logic cards ARE gambling and loot crates aren’t. You’re wrong though, what they mean is like chips in a casino. You gamble with chips and then trade them in for cash. If I go sell casino chips at a gas station down the street...
Should these articles be locked due to duplicate posts? I find it sad and pathetic that this is even being discussed. Do we need government regulation? Are we too retarded to decide our own financial decisions? Apparently so according to the business and gambling experts in the gaming media.
I’m glad it worked out for them.
Sucks but oh well. I wasn’t expecting to be blown away by the graphics anyways.
Kinda boring. I was really high though to be fair.
I can’t wait for the death of the lootbox articles. I like how every media outlet has an expert business opinion now. All the sudden after years of dealing with the practice lol. The death of gaming omg!!! Only YOU can prevent forest fires!
This is exactly why people think the media is full of shit. Colluded agendas full of people who don’t know what they are talking about. I’d guess the vast majority of people who read gaming news don’t buy loot boxes. Casuals Buy loot box...
Yes, you protect yourself by not buying lootboxes lol. At most, all this nonsense will produce is another sticker littering the box letting you know there are loot boxes involved. “Consumer protections” issue, not a gambling one.
