The only way COD will "die" is if it's replaced. The base is way too strong, the vocal opposers are a vast minority. If the 1 million dislikes on YouTube stood strong with their boycott (which they won't) they would still be a fraction of the sales. What looks to replace COD? Battlefield, Titan fall? While similar they are significantly different games. What has even come close? Medal of Honor? Any position on a failing COD is wishful thinking, it defies reason.

Understandable. I'm a "bigger picture" guy, I'm always 3 steps ahead. That's just the way my brain works I can't help it lol. I don't want to see another great game like dragons dogma get shelved because of crappy marketing or a dumb release window. I intend to buy both nioh and horizon but it's not about you and me. We're 240 dollars lol.

I never played the first sigma. I played ng1 on Xbox and ng2 on 360. I played sigma 2 and ng3 on PS3 and I hated them. I've never even heard of Razors edge but I looked it up and it's a wiiu exclusive... Hopefully the next one is on the ps4 and not an nx exclusive.
I'm familiar with itagaki's name but not hayashi. I can tell the difference, the sigma's sucked. He got his shit together with nioh though. Did you like the nioh beta?

The first had the best characters and story. It's not even close because it was fresh. That matters in games about philosophy and ideology. They are all well written games but I think the ones Levine worked on have the edge. He's probably the best game writer in the business. So 1,3,2.
After nioh I'm fucking pumped! I loved ninja gaiden 1 and 2 but the 3rd was straight trash. I was pissed. I liked the 360 version of ng2 where blood sprayed everywhere like old kung fu flicks. Such a fun chaotic overkill of a game.
I would also take a ninja game like tenchu. They have the semi open level down pat now. Instead of a bruting with the samurai like in nioh you could hit the shadows and rooftops like a ninja. That would be dope and I would buy.

Honestly, I thought Inafune used mighty no 9 funds to build his own studio. Going indie costs money. Then he got publishing deals making this and some other game. Then I thought some of the mighty no 9 when into building these games.
I never once thought he lost his edge though. This dude has produced some of my favorite games of all time throughout my life. Megaman to dead rising. I would rather him be a scambag than him lose his creativity lol.

I wasn't ever into the metroidvania game style but I can tell it is quality. It's fan service done right and I can respect that. It is what they said it would be and its progressing, who would be mad at that? It's not like the delays in MN9 (which I backed). 100 delays with the project looking worse with every update lol.
And it's half deserved. Loved 1, 2, brotherhood and black flag. Didn't care for the rest, unity is garbage.
