Souls games have some of the slowest and most boring gameplay I've ever seen.
It's tedious as hell.

You can play as 3 Different characters.
Jack Joyce(Protagonist)
Beth Wilder(Protagonist)
Paul Serene (Antagonist)
Each of those characters have different time abilities that all can be used in Offensive/Defensive capacities.
On top of Pauls abilities he can see possible futures.
You get to play as Paul at the end of the episode and make decisions that shape how the game turns out, and how the TV episodes turn out.

I enjoyed Crimson Dragon. It needed some work done on it but it was a pretty fun On Rails shooter.

Bungie clearly didn't realize that when you take multitudes of that many guns and through them in PvP...You won't be able to balance it.
I wouldn't go off by saying it's slow. The MP would need 60 FPS.
NOT The Singleplayer, the Strike modes have the NPCs moving slow enough so that it's easy to dodge moves at 30 FPS.

Remedy doesn't show off unfinished products. They get it ready and then advertise off.

And Crystal Dynamics partnering with MS is good because MS internal teams do a lot to help get what they can out of the game.

We won't be able to see DX12 full potential till later in the gen. I imagine that devs like CD/343/Black Tusk have early DX12 API, but they aren't building the games from the ground up with it. (Maybe Rise of the Tomb Raider)
Rise is pretty much a guaranteed Day one buy for me.
People don't like to look at Third party partnerships as a good idea.
But when a publisher like Square Enix is questioning if the games will even sell when the reboot was a massive money sink for them. It's not a stretch for them to seek external funding.
