Well that's the thing...I see this gen having a lot of Online only games be thrown at people since they want to fully utilize Dedicated Servers from the Cloud.
We may see a couple single player games have a couple tasks off loaded onto the Cloud like streaming TV episodes (Quantum Break) or Stereo Audio that they couldn't fit into the physical game. Little things to help encourage people to come online or to show benefits.

Something like this would be used more on Multiplayer applications but for a single player game where your internet goes down... i imagine the game would run in a more optimized graphical fidelity in terms of keeping the frame rate stable.
