EA took their games off of Steam years ago, Activision just released Call of Duty on their own platform, Activision's Blizzard games are exclusive to their platform.
which is what everyone is upset about
Tetris was rated incredibly highly pretty much all around.
neither of you are right. Stadia at 1080p is free, if you buy a game for $5 or $50 you get to play the game with whatever hardware you have. You can use an old laptop and a 360 controller, or you can use you old desktop and use mouse and keyboard, or a steam controller or a DS4 controller or any thing that connects to a PC
The Subscription fee is for 4k
Like PS Now? Or is that different because it's Sony?
Are you unaware that EA already has Origin, Activision has bnet and cod online? all are already exclusive.
they're just angry. at anything that isn't sony.
Sony has the PS Now, and they defend it. It's the same things you spend money to rent and stream games.
@Nyxus
Google's claim to fame is data and targeted ads. You might not be seeing anything but others that are interested might be seeing ads everywhere they go online.
I've been streaming god of war on my PC for the past 2 weeks, this person needs to give up gaming now.
@UltraNova
Sony will be making millions of these. They're not paying the same prices as a consumer that buys one of each component.
it's raining. I hate you
Games where everyone walks around crouched over, moving their bodies as little as possible like they are trying to walk past an angry dog.
avoid polygon too. They put spoilers in their headers on the front page.
all that money and no gyro.
no gyro, no buyro
We're also seeing less SP games because it becomes harder and harder to compete as expectation arise.
Talent is sparse.
SocialDanny is also right. We're seeing the same thing with Epic right now too. They're obviously taking a loss on all of these exclusives but selling getting people signed up and making steam look like wasteland in comparison are the ultimate goals.
I was thinking those are what will drive these subscriptions. If I were to play a MP game, I'd just buy the game because those have much more staying power.
Right now I have 3 months of PS Now to play God of War on my PC. The only reason I didn't get a year was because they have said that they are taking away GoW, Infamous, and Uncharted 4 in January. If they were to leave them up there indefinitely, I'd sign up for the entire year and then probably just let it ...
It's all about getting people signed up and locked in to your ecosystem so that they come back and spend money elsewhere, on full games, on hardware, movie rentals...
A good amount of people will forget and never use the service, that's free money. Other people will sign up for 3 years on an impulse and not use it as much as they think.
Sony's games are only available on Sony's platforms.
