I agreed with you on everything but pushing consoles to their limit. I think recent events and along with other publishers limiting their games to 30fps, shows that consoles are already showing their limits. Only studios who can push graphical limit now are first party because of their insider API knowledge but even they are limited by the hardware.
Even though Crash is an unofficial mascot, I still see him as the most identifying mascot for Sony. It's what got me into playstation and was a large part of my childhood growing up was playing Crash and Spyro. For Sony to be content to let Activision keep the IP seems like heresy to me, lol. If I was Sony I would be fighting Activision tooth and nail for my Mario-like mascot.
And nothing about planetside 2 either...
Was also secretly hoping they would announce reviving an old franchise like Crash Bandicoot as well, but it looks like a pipe dream at this point. I still play the emulated version of crash bandicoot racing on my phone, makes me want crash back even more.
They paywalled the story too, which was one of the reasons I didn't buy Destiny. Bungie just let Activision tank their reputation, this series is looking like a sad cash grab.
Im posting up to what I saw from vid, since it got taken down.
At one point in the video where he had to assasinate the rebels, why did the game pretend to give the player the choice on who to shoot but wouldn't let him pass level until he shot "the right one" i.e the one on the floor. He literally had to fail the misison to figure it out. Hope the rest of the game isn't like that its looking way too linear. Plus, QTE's were not helping.

That page has been up for a while nothing new, I had already registered before. But alittle dissapointed its a "closed beta" was gonna invite a few people to it, and IDK how limiting player base to a huge game like this is gonna help them when, compared to actual conditions when game launches.
All I care from Halo is the story if the story is a 10/10 then game is 10/10 to me. Just need an xbox one... lol

Loadout, Planetside 2 and H1Z1 will be best F2P games for a while, Im hoping they can even port Star Citizen to PS4 when its done too, Chris said he was open to it if Sony was.

I only pick up digital when its on sale. I bought only two digital games so far, excluding the indies from PS plus that are included in membership. One is tomb raider that I picked up for $18 the other is Cell Damage HD that I got for $2.50. The rest is all physical got 10 physical games so far including two on the way.

Even though I like sony's exclusives more overall, I dont like all of them like for example The order 1886, for being too linear and not including co-op in a squad based game. And on the other side of that coin, some of the bandwagon fanboys( I know small minority of players...but still) on this site put on such a good show that they will have you believe that every exclusive sony makes is a godsend and any other contradictory of critica...
I've seen people blame sonys first year exclsuives lineup as if Xbox's was dramatically better. But really both aren't that much ahead of each other and IMHO the only notable releases I've seen are in Sunset overdrive and Halo: MCC and forza 2 despite its praise, I havent personally even heard much of. I would wait until atleast year two to get a better glimpse of the potential of both platforms.
That being said I think given Sony's history they have an up...
Nowhere near as bad as last gen was to pick up... much better mostly I think because both are trying to do more then gaming this time arond and integrate media functionality better.

I'm surprised its selling as well as it is. I was at target today and saw people mainly buying xbox ones and skylander sets(dozens of them) and loading them in carts. Though I had to wonder if most of those people really thought it out as something they would like long term or are just buying on impulse because of a temporary price cut..Either way its a good sign gaming will be around a while. Im thinking if I want to go for Xbone: MCC bundle at walmart or wait for a redesign with lower p...
I thought it was pretty simple MS isnt experienced in hardware design since they make relatively few electronics. I think the bigger criticism should be why they couldn't fit that huge brick of a power adapter into the console with all that extra space inside.
