A 266 page thread on GTA IV crashing on PS3 systems. Yes, I thought the PS3 was crash-proof until it happened to me. I couldn't even turn my system on. Frustrating, and the worst part is, theres not really an official statement by Rockstar, OR Sony telling us why its happening.
Its too bad I got the Red Light of death on my Playstation and had to return the system for a refurbished one. I'm still scared as hell to play this game for fear it could crash the whole system again.
Otherwise, I'll be doing these 50 things.

Dice are working for Battlefield under EA so you'll expect *better* support. Orange box was done by one of the EA offices -- thats why it sucks, and theres no support for it.

Bricked as in it doesn't turn on anymore. I get red light of death, i.e. flashing red lights. This is a real failure on rockstars part. I'm not the only one having the problem, lots of people with 60GB PS3s are too.
My PS3 just bricked today because of GTA IV. Somehow, rockstar and sony are trying to shove this under the carpet (by replacing systems for free) -- perhaps they are too busy with current issues to work on their expansion pack? I'm pissed that software can totally screw up your hardware, I didn't think that was possible. I also find it funny that noone has sued Sony/rockstar yet -- i guess they are trying to manage their PR.
And I still don't believe EDGE gave it a 10.
They also gave GTA IV a 10, and Metal Gear Solid 4 an 8. Unbelievable.
BTW, I don't think the Xbox 360 has any future without hd-dvd/blu-ray -- with the size of games going exponentially up, they'll need to secure a portable media type that will continue the success(?) of the xbox. Hard drives won't cut it, esp since everyone doesn't have T3 lines going to their houses.
Thats how M$ makes money. You'll have to buy a new blu-ray disc drive to play all the new games. A big FU to their userbase.
And it'll be up in youtube in about 5 minutes...
